Assembly and installation
c Danger! When you install the fastenings make sure
that you do not damage any cables or pipes carrying
gas, electricity, water or telecommunications. Damaging
gas pipes may lead to danger of explosion and to life.
A damaged electricity cable may result in loss of life
by electric shock. Damage to water pipes may lead to
property damage. To locate any cables or pipes use an
appropriate detector or seek the advice of an expert.
Tip! Ensure before you install the sensor and the external
siren that the cable is long enough for the distances to
be traversed. Ensure that the cable cannot become
drawn over sharp edges or become squashed or trapped.
Place the cable so that it as inaccessible as possible to
an intruder. Use the ten cable clips to attach the cable
to walls, ceilings or floors.
Control unit
o Unscrew the four fastening screws
Y
of the control
unit and remove the rear of the housing
T
.
o Mark two holes 60 mm apart at the selected installa-
tion position.
o Drill the two holes for the two dowels (27 x 6 mm) and
insert the dowels into the holes.
o Screw the two mounting screws (22 x 4 mm) into the
dowels until the screw heads project approx. 5 mm.
o Guide the cable of the motion detector
i
through the
larger cable opening in the rear of the control unit.
Connect this cable using the 3-pin plug to the main circuit
board of the control unit (see Fig.C
P
a).
Guide the cable of the external siren
w
through the
smaller cable opening in the rear of the control unit.
Connect this cable using the 2-pin plug to the main cir-
cuit board of the control unit (see Fig.C
O
a).
o Insert the four batteries 1.5 V type LR6 (mignon / AA,
alkaline) observing the correct polarity (helical spring to
the negative pole of the battery) into the battery holder
}
.
The device emits a 2-pip sound.
o Place the battery holder
}
back into the battery com-
partment of the control unit and reattach the rear
T
of
the battery compartment with the fastening screws
Y
.
o Push the top mounting point
U
over the top screw
head at the same time as you push the bottom mount-
ing point
{
over the bottom screw head.
o Readjust the screw heads if this is necessary to obtain
a secure seating for the device.
o Ensure that the sabotage contact
I
(on the rear of
housing) is pressed and lies flush against the installation
site surface.
External siren
Tip! If you need to drill a cable feed hole for the external
siren then you should ensure that the hole is hidden
behind the siren housing. Ensure the hole is big enough
for the socket connector of the cable
w
. Guide the cable
of the siren from the outside through the hole and connect
the plug to the control unit as described above.
o Mark two holes 60 mm apart at the selected position.
o Drill the two holes for the two dowels (27 x 6 mm) and
insert the dowels into the holes.
o Screw the two mounting screws (22 x 4 mm) into the
dowels until the screw heads project approx. 5 mm.
o Unscrew the 4 fastening screws of the external siren
and remove the rear of the housing.
o Insert the four batteries 1.5 V type LR6 (mignon / AA,
alkaline) observing the correct polarity (helical spring to
the negative pole of the batteries) into the battery hold-
er
y
.
o Place the battery holder
y
back into the battery com-
partment of the external siren and reattach the rear of
the battery compartment with the fastening screws.
o Push the top mounting point
e
over the top screw
head at the same time as you push the bottom mounting
point
e
a over the bottom screw head.
o Readjust the screw heads if this is necessary to obtain
a secure seating for the device.
