thetapexatingthecableofthesqueezeprotection
switchesonthemainmodule.Runtheswitchcablesto
onesideofthebedandrunthefreeendunderneath
therstcrosstubeandontopofthesecondcrosstube
towardsthefootendofthebed.Connectthecable
tothelongestendofthesplittercableR.Fixeachof
thecablesfromthesqueezeprotectionswitcheswitha
plasticstripatthecrosstubeandSoftTiltframe,facing
theheadendofthebed.

Ensurethatallcablesrununderneaththebedslatsand
fastenonemotorcabletogetherwiththeswitchcable
onsideofthebedandthesecondmotorcableonthe
othersideofthebed,withthreeplasticstripsoneach
side.Therststripisplacedonthecrossbarandthe
remainingtwoonthesidetubetowardsthefootend
ofthebed.
Movethebedallthewayupanddowntoensureno
cablesaregettingsqueezed.
Mountingthearmsandcover
1.Ensurebothwingsofthemainmoduleareslightly
elevated,sotheconnectionsforthearmsareaccessible.
2.
Connectthefourarmswiththemainmodule,ensuring
thearmswiththehingeisplacedoverthekneebend
hingeonthebedandthatthecurvedshapedsidesof
allarmsarepointingoutwards.Fixthefourarmswith
theAllenboltsandtightenthewing-nutsfacinginwards.
Ensurethesafetywashersareplacedunderneaththe
wing-nuts.

IMPORTANT!
Whenmounting,ensurethatthefourarms
areinahorizontalpositionandadjustthem
ifnecessary
Toadjustthepositionofthearms,foldthemupatthe
jointstothemainmoduleandadjustscrewUuntil
thearmsareinahorizontalpositionwhenfoldedback
down.

Mountthecoverbyslidingthepocketsoverthehead
endandfootendarms.Theheadendofthecoveris
markedbyTOP”.
IMPORTANT!
TheSoftTiltmustnotbeusedwithoutthecover.
5.PlaceandsecurethemattressontotheSoftTilt.

TheSoftTiltcanbeoperatedeitherinmanualorautomatic
mode.
Inbothmodesitispossibletoactivatethenormalfunctions
thebed.
Itisrecommendtohavetheheadsectionslightly
raised,whileusingtheSoftTilt,toprovideamore
comfortablepositiontotheend-user.
Manualmode
Themanualmodehasbeendesignedtosupportthecare
staffinturningtheend-userfromsidetosideinthebed.
Thewingscanberaisedandloweredviathehandcontrol
(seesectionManualOperation).
Automaticmode
Theautomaticmodehasbeendesignedtoprovidepressure
reductiontoend-users.
IntheAUTOprogram,thewingswillmoveautomatically
accordingtopre-denedparametersfortimeandangle(see
sectionAutoProgramSequence).
InProgram1and2,thewingswillmoveautomatically
accordingtoindividuallydenedparametersfortimeand
angle(seechapterProgramming).

onlytheprimarywingandleavethesecondarywing
inposition.
3.Whentheprimarywinghasreachedthedesiredheight,
youcan(butdon'thaveto)lowerthesecondarywing
tohorizontal.

1.Simultaneouslyraisethelowersideandlowerthehigher
side
