Fluid
To achieve the best possible service-
life and safety from the gas spring, the
instructions below must be followed.
The gas spring is intended for use in
tool and machine applications.
For marking and general information of
the product, see the back page.
Mounting instructions
Secure the gas spring to the tool/
machine whenever possible, using
the threaded holes in the base of the
gas spring or a suitable flange.
Do not use the gas spring in such a
way that the piston is released
freely from its compressed position,
as this could cause internal damage to
the gas spring.
Make sure the gas spring is mounted
parallel to the direction of the compres-
sion stroke.
Ensure the entire contact surface of
the piston top is used, is perpendicular
to the direction of the compression
stroke and is sufficiently hardened.
The gas spring should not be subjec-
ted to side loads. Protect the piston
against mechanical damage and
contact with fluids.
We do not recommend 10 % of the
nominal stroke to be utilized.
The maximum charging pressure (at
20°C) must not be exceeded as it may
effect the safety of the product.
Exceeding the gas spring’s recommen-
ded operating temperature will shorten
the service-life of the gas spring.
Do not remove the SP bottom (if
attached) from the CU4 spring until all
gas pressure has been discharged.
För att gasfjädern ska uppnå bästa
möjliga livslängd och säkerhet, ska
instruktionerna enligt nedan följas.

verktyg/maskiner.

Monteringsanvisningar
Fäst, när så är möjligt, gasfjädern
i verktyget med hjälp av de
gängade hålen i gasfjäderns botten
eller med hjälp av lämpligt fäste.
Använd inte gasfjädern på sådant sätt
att kolven släpps helt fri från intryckt
läge, eftersom detta kan leda till svåra
skador på gasfjädern.
Se till att gasfjädern är monterad helt
parallellt med rörelseriktningen.
Kontaktytan på kolvänden ska vara
vinkelrät mot rörelseriktningen och
hela kolvens yta ska utnyttjas som
kontaktyta.
Gasfjädern får inte utsättas för någon
sidobelastning.
Skydda kolven mot mekaniska skador
och kontakt med vätska.
Vi rekommenderar att inte utnyttja de
sista 10% av nominell slaglängd.
Det maximala fyllnadstrycket (vid
20°C) som anges för gasfjädern får
inte överskridas, eftersom det kan
äventyra produktens säkerhet.
Om de för gasfjädern rekommende-
rade driftstemperaturerna inte kan
hållas, förkortas gasfjäderns livslängd.
Botten med sidoport får inte demonte-
ras då gasfjädern är trycksatt.

Si es posible, ajustar el resorte en la
herramienta con ayuda de uno o varios
de los orificios fileteados de la base
del resorte, u otro soporte adecuado.
Evitar el empleo del resorte de gas de
forma que la pistón quede totalmente
desplegada en posición accionada,
ya que ello puede dañar seriamente
el resorte.
Asegurarse de montar el resorte de
gas en posición totalmente paralela a
la dirección de movimiento.
Asegure la superficie de contacto
entera de la tapa del pistón se utiliza,
es perpendicular a la dirección del
movimiento de la compresión y se
endurece suficientemente.
El resorte de gas no puede ser some-
tido a ningun tipo de presión lateral.
Proteger la biela contra posibles daños
mecánicos e impedir que entre en
contacto con cualquier líquido.
Recomendamos no utilizar los últimos
10% de la carrera nominal.
No superar la presión máxima de
llenado (a 20°C) especificada para
el resorte de gas. De lo contrario,
se comprometerá la seguridad del
producto.
Si no se mantienen las temperaturas
operativas recomendadas para el
resorte de gas, disminuirá la vida útil
de éste.
Un fondo con portal delado no se reco-
menda a demontar cuando el restor de
gas esta en presión.

Below are the various gas spring
mounting possibilities, which differ
from model to model. See the KALLER
main catalog for further mounting
information.
Service information
If correctly installed and used, the
following minimum gas spring service-
intervals can be expected. Stroke
lengths up to and including 50 mm –
1 million strokes. Stroke lengths above
50 mm – 100,000 stroke meters.
We recommend the gas spring to
be replaced after 2 million strokes.
The gas springs are fully serviceable
(except CU4 420 and 740). To service
a gas spring, repair kits and tool kits
are available. Service instructions are
included with every repair kit.
Caution! Only specially trained per-
sonnel with a good knowledge of the
products should service the gas spring.
Mistakes made during assembly and
charging may infringe on safety and/or
detrimentally effect the service-life of
the gas spring.

ningsvarianter varierar beroende på

Service/Underhåll
Vid korrekt installation och drift kan
man räkna med minst det nedan angiv-
na serviceintervallet. Slaglängd t.o.m.
50 mm – 1 miljon slag. Slaglängd över
50 mm – 100 000 meter genomlöpt
slaglängd. Vi rekommenderar att man
inte låter gasfjädern gå längre än 2
miljoner slag. Därefter bör gasfjädern
bytas ut. Gasfjädern kan demonteras
för service och underhåll (gäller ej CU4
420 och 740). För detta ändamål finns
reparationssatser att tillgå. Servicein-
struktion medföljer.
Varning! Underhållsarbetet får bara
utföras av speciellt utbildad personal
med god produktkännedom. Misstag
vid montering och fyllning kan äventyra
säkerheten och/eller förkorta produk-
tens livslängd.

Servicio/Mantenimiento
Si la instalación y operación son cor-
rectas, se ha de calcular como mínimo
los intervalos de servicio indicados a
continuación. Con un desplazamiento
de hasta 50 mm – 1 millón de carreras.
Con un desplazamiento de más de
50 mm – 100.000 metros de longitud
de carrera. Recomendamos no dejar
que el resorte de gas realice más de
2 millones de carreras. Llegado a este
punto, debe ser reemplazado (No vale
al CU4 420 y 740). El resorte de gas
puede desarmarse para su servicio y
mantenimiento. Puede utilizar los kits
de reparación al efecto. Se incluye
instrucciones de servicio.
Advertencia! Las labores de manteni-
miento sólo puede realizarlas personal
cualificado con buen conocimiento
del producto. Los errores durante la
instalación o rellenado pueden com-
prometer la seguridad del producto y/o
reducir su vida útil.
