product. The instructions for use are part of the

product. They contain important information

concerning safety, use and disposal. Before us-

ing the product, please familiarise yourself with

all of the safety information and instructions for

use. Only use the product as described and for

the speciﬁed applications. If you pass the prod-

you are working. A large number of screws

livery. These may prove life-threatening if

This product can be used by children aged

from 8 years and above and persons with

reduced physical, sensory or mental capa-

if they have been given supervision or in-

struction concerning use of the product in

a safe way and understand the hazards

involved. Children shall not play with the

product. Cleaning and user maintenance shall

not be made by children without supervision.

Do not use the product if you detect any

kind of damage.

The illuminants are not replaceable.

If the illuminants fail at the end of their lifes,

the entire light must be replaced.

Safety instructions for

batteries /rechargeable

batteries

DANGER TO LIFE! Keep batteries/

rechargeable batteries out of reach of

children. If accidentally swallowed seek

immediate medical attention.

Swallowing may lead to burns, perforation

of soft tissue, and death. Severe burns can

occur within 2 hours of ingestion.

DANGER OF EXPLOSION!

Never recharge non-rechargea-

ble batteries. Do not short-circuit

batteries/rechargeable batteries and/or

open them. Overheating, ﬁre or bursting

can be the result.

Never throw batteries/rechargeable batteries

into ﬁre or water.

Do not exert mechanical loads to batteries/

rechargeable batteries.

Risk of leakage of batteries /

rechargeable batteries

Avoid extreme environmental conditions

and temperatures, which could aﬀect

batteries / rechargeable batteries, e.g.

radiators / direct sunlight.

If batteries / rechargeable batteries have

leaked, avoid contact with skin, eyes and

mucous membranes with the chemicals!

Flush immediately the aﬀected areas with

fresh water and seek medical attention!

WEAR PROTECTIVE

GLOVES! Leaked or damaged

batteries/rechargeable batteries

can cause burns on contact with the skin.

Wear suitable protective gloves at all times

if such an event occurs.

This product has a built-in rechargeable

battery which cannot be replaced by the user.

The removal or replacement of the rechargea-

ble battery may only be carried out by the

manufacturer or his customer service or by

a similarly qualiﬁed person in order to avoid

hazards. When disposing of the product, it

should be noted that this product contains a

rechargeable battery.

Functioning

When exposed to sunlight, the solar cell 12

converts the light into electrical energy and via

the connected solar electricity socket 8, stores

the electricity in the built-in rechargeable battery.

With a fully charged rechargeable battery, the

lighting duration is about 100 mins. Before

being used for the ﬁrst time, the rechargeable

battery must be fully loaded (see section

“Charging the rechargeable battery”).

Charging the

rechargeable battery

Upon delivery, the rechargeable battery is fully

charged. Due to storage times, the rechargeable

battery may be partially discharged when ﬁrst

used. Therefore, charge the rechargeable

battery completely before ﬁrst use.

Charging the rechargeable batteries

with a solar cell

Press the ON / OFF switch 11 into the OFF

position and red LED indicator of ON / OFF

switch 11 extinguish at the same time, so

the charging process is not inﬂuenced by

the light being switched on.

Insert the solar cable plug 14 into the solar

electricity socket 8 of the spotlight 10 .

Position the solar cell 12 as described in

section “Mounting the solar cell 12 ”.

Note: With steady exposure to sunlight,

the rechargeable battery is fully charged

after 4 to 6 days. The duration of the charg-

ing process depends on the charge state of

the rechargeable battery as well as the

quality of the exposure to sunlight.

Assembly

Note: Remove all packaging materials from the

product.

Before mounting, decide where you want to

mount the solar cell 12 and the spotlight 10 .

The solar cell 12 and the spotlight 10 can be

mounted independently of each other, but after

being mounted must be connected with the ap-

prox. 5 m long cable of the solar cell

After

the mounting, lay the cable so it is not subject to

any mechanical stresses. Use typical installation

material such as cable clamps or conduit to fasten

the cable, to prevent damage to the insulation.

Note: The included mounting material is suitable

for ordinary solid concrete or masonry construc-

tion. Other wall substrates may require other

fastening materials. Seek specialist advice if

necessary.

Mounting the spotlight

Make sure you will not be drilling into electrical,

gas or water lines inside the wall. Use a power

drill to drill the holes into the brick wall. Always

observe all safety instructions for the power drill

in the manual for the power drill. Death or injury

due to electric shock may otherwise result.

When selecting the mounting location for the

spotlight 10 , pay attention to the following:

Make sure the spotlight 10 illuminates the

desired area. You can move the spotlight

Make sure the motion detector 9 covers

the desired area. The motion detector 9

has a maximum coverage range of 12 m,

with a coverage angle of about 180°

(depending on the mounting height – a

height of 1.8–2.5 m is ideal) (see Fig. D).

Make sure the motion detector 9 is not

illuminated at night by street lighting. This

can inﬂuence its functioning.

Unscrew locking screws 4 to detach the

mounting bracket 3 from the spotlight 10 .

Utilize the mounting bracket

as a template

for making the position of the two outer drill

holes.

Then drill these holes and attach the mount-

ing bracket 3 using the supplied dowels 1

and screws 2.

Now attach the spotlight 10 to the mounting

bracket 3 using the previously removed

locking screws 4, spring washers 5 and

ﬂat washers 6. Please make sure that the

spring washers 5 and ﬂat washers 6 are

located as ﬁg A.

Mounting the solar cell

Make sure you will not be drilling into electrical,

gas or water lines inside the wall. Use a power

drill to drill the holes into the brick wall. Always

observe all safety instructions for the power drill

in the manual for the power drill. Death or injury

due to electric shock may otherwise result.

When selecting the mounting location for the

solar cell 12 , pay attention to the following:

The solar cell 12 needs to be as directly

exposed to sunlight as possible. Even partial

shading of the solar cell 12 during the day

can have a signiﬁcant inﬂuence on charging.

Cardinal direction:

Orientation towards the south is optimum. Ori-

entations with slight deviations towards the west

are preferable to those with slight deviations

towards the east.

Horizontal orientation:

The horizontal orientation of the solar cell 12

depends on the geographic latitude of the

mounting location. In central Europe, and angle

of 30°–40° is ideal.

A mounting plate with 6 drill holes for screws is

located at the back of solar cell 12 .

Mount the solar cell 12 at the designated

location using the 4 small screws 13 and

dowels 15 . Depending on the topography

of the mounting location, you can freely

choose 4 of the drill holes in the mounting

plate; however, you should ideally select

2 drill holes on the right and left each (see

ﬁg. B).

Then lay the solar cable plug 14 and con-

nect the plug to the solar electricity socket

8 of the spotlight 10 .

The solar cell 12 is originally connected to

the mounting plate via a swivel joint. Orient

the solar cell 12 in a manner that ensures

maximum exposure to sunlight.

Preparing the product

for use

Switching the motion

detector on and oﬀ

Press the ON / OFF switch 11 into the ON

position to switch on the motion detector 9;

the red LED indicator of ON / OFF switch

11 lights on at the same time.

Press the ON / OFF switch 11 into the OFF

position to switch oﬀ the motion detector 9;

the red LED indicator of ON / OFF switch 11

extinguish at the same time.

Setting the lighting duration

Turn the rotary control TIME 19 on the

bottom of the motion detector 9 clockwise

to increase the duration of the illumination

(see Fig. C). The lighting duration can be

adjusted within a time window of approx.

5s +/-2s to 5 min +/-1min.

Adjusting the sensitivity of

the sensor

Turn the rotary control SENS 18 on the

bottom of the motion detector 9 clockwise

to increase the sensitivity of the sensor (see

Fig. C).

Note: The motion detector 9 responds to

heat radiation. When outdoor temperatures

are low, it is more sensitive to body heat

than when outdoor temperatures are warm.

Be sure to regulate the sensitivity of the

sensor over the course of the year.

Setting the daylight level

Turn the rotary control LUX 17 on the bottom

of the motion detector 9 clockwise to

increase the daylight level. In position , the

motion detector 9 only responds at pitch-

black night (approx. 5 lx). In position ,

the motion detector 9 also responds at

daylight levels, as long as about 20,000lx

are not exceeded (see Fig. C).

Orientating the motion

detector

Loosen the fastening screws 7 of the

motion detector 9.

Turn the rotary control LUX 17 to position

. Orient the motion detector 9 into the

central region of the desired coverage area.

Move about through the coverage area un-

til you are satisﬁed with the response char-

acteristics of the motion detector 9. To ﬁnd

the proper orientation, change the position

of the rotary control SENS 18 or the orien-

tation of the motion detector 9.

Re-tighten the fastening screws 7 to ﬁx the

adjustment.

Turn the rotary control LUX 17 to the desired

position. These can be determined during

the dawn or twilight hours during which the

spotlight 10 should respond. Slowly turn

the rotary control LUX 17 clockwise until it

reacts to movement within the coverage area.

Cleaning and storage

Press the ON / OFF switch 11 into the OFF

position if you will not be using the product

and want to store it.

Check the motion detector 9 and the solar

cell 12 for dirt regularly. If dirt or is present,

remove it to guarantee ﬂawless function of

the product.

During the winter, keep the product and

especially the solar cell 12 free from snow

and ice.

Clean the product with a lint-free, slightly

moist cloth and mild cleaning agent.

Disposal

The packaging is made entirely of recyclable

materials, which you may dispose of at local

recycling facilities.

Observe the marking of the packag-

ing materials for waste separation,

which are marked with abbreviations

(a) and numbers (b) with following

meaning: 1–7: plastics / 20–22: pa-

per and ﬁbreboard / 80–98: com-

posite materials.

The product and packaging materi-

als are recyclable, dispose of it sepa-

rately for better waste treatment. The

Triman logo is valid in France only.

Contact your local refuse disposal

authority for more details of how to

dispose of your worn-out product.

To help protect the environment,

please dispose of the product prop-

erly when it has reached the end of

its useful life and not in the household

waste. Information on collection points

and their opening hours can be ob-

tained from your local authority.

Faulty or used batteries / rechargeable batteries

must be recycled in accordance with Directive

2006/66/EC and its amendments. Please return

the batteries / rechargeable batteries and / or

the product to the available collection points.

Environmental damage

through incorrect disposal of

the batteries / rechargeable

batteries!

Batteries / rechargeable batteries may not be

disposed of with the usual domestic waste. They

may contain toxic heavy metals and are subject

to hazardous waste treatment rules and

regulations. The chemical symbols for heavy

metals are as follows: Cd = cadmium, Hg =

mercury, Pb = lead. That is why you should dis-

pose of used batteries / rechargeable batteries

at a local collection point.

Warranty

The product has been manufactured to strict

quality guidelines and meticulously examined

before delivery. In the event of product defects

you have legal rights against the retailer of this

product. Your legal rights are not limited in any

way by our warranty detailed below.

The warranty for this product is 3 years from the

ate of purchase. The warranty period begins on

the date of purchase. Please keep the original

sales receipt in a safe location. This document is

required as your proof of purchase.

Should this product show any fault in materials

or manufacture within 3 years from the date of

purchase, we will repair or replace it – at our

choice – free of charge to you. This warranty

becomes void if the product has been dam-

aged, or used or maintained improperly.

The warranty applies to defects in material or

manufacture. This warranty does not cover product

parts subject to normal wear, thus possibly con-

sidered consumables (e.g. batteries) or for dam-

age to fragile parts, e.g. switches, rechargeable

batteries or glass parts.

TAPATURMANVAARA! Älä

vioivat usein uhkaavat vaarat. Pidä tuote

HENGENVAARA! Pidä lapset pois tuotteen

ulottuvilta asennuksen aikana. Toimitus sisäl-

tää useita ruuveja ja muita pieniä osia. Nämä

voivat johtaa hengenvaaraan nieltäessä tai

sisäänhengitettäessä.

Tuotetta voivat käyttää 8 vuotta täyttäneet

lapset sekä henkilöt, jotka ovat fyysisiltä tai

psyykkisiltä kyvyiltään tai aisteiltaan rajoittu-

neita tai joilla ei ole kokemusta tai tietoa

tuotteen käytöstä, jos he käyttävät tuotetta

valvonnan alaisina tai heitä on opastettu

tuotteen turvallisessa käytössä ja he ovat tie-

Nieluun joutuminen voi johtaa palovammoihin

pehmytkudoksen puhkeamiseen ja kuolemaan.

Vakavat palovammat voivat ilmaantua 2 tun-

nin sisällä nielemisestä.

RÄJÄHDYSVAARA! Älä kos-

kaan lataa paristoja, jotka eivät

ole uudelleenladattavia. Älä oi-

kosulje paristoja / akkuja äläkä avaa niitä.

Siitä voi seurata ylikuumeneminen, tulipalo

tai räjähdys.

Älä koskaan heitä paristoja / akkuja tuleen

tai veteen.

Älä altista paristoja / akkuja mekaaniselle

kuormitukselle.

Paristojen / akkujen vuotamisesta

johtuva vaara

Vältä äärimmäisiä olosuhteita ja lämpötiloja,

jotka voivat vaikuttaa paristoihin / akkuihin

esim. lämpöpatterit tai suora auringonvalo.

Jos paristot / akut ovat vuotaneet, vältä ke-

mikaalien kosketusta ihoon, silmiin ja limakal-

voihin! Huuhtele altistuneet kohdat välittömästi

pelkällä vedellä ja ota yhteyttä lääkäriin!

KÄYTÄ SUOJAKÄSINEITÄ!

Vuotaneet tai vaurioituneet paris-

tot / akut voivat syövyttää ihoa.

Käytä siksi ehdottomasti aina sopivia suoja-

käsineitä.

Tässä tuotteessa on kiinteä akku, jota käyttäjä

ei voi vaihtaa uuteen. Akun saa poistaa tai

vaihtaa vain valmistaja, tämän huoltopalvelu

tai muu pätevä henkilö, jotta vaaratilanteet

voidaan välttää. Tuotetta hävitettäessä tulee

muistaa, että siinä on kiinteä akku.

Toimintatapa

Aurinkokenno 12 muuntaa auringonsäteet säh-

köenergiaksi ja varastoi energian laitteeseen lii-

tetyn aurinkoenergialiittimen 8 kautta kiinteään

akkuun. Valaisuaika on n. 100 minuuttia täyteen-

ladatulla akulla. Ennen ensimmäistä käyttöä akun

täytyy olla ladattu (ks. luku „Akun lataaminen“).

Akun lataaminen

Akku on toimitettaessa täyteenladattu. Varas-

toinnin vuoksi akku voi olla käyttöönoton yhtey-

dessä vain osaksi ladattu. Lataa akku tämän

vuoksi täyteen ennen ensimmäistä käyttöä.

Akun lataaminen aurinkokennon

avulla

Paina virtakytkin 11 OFF-asentoon, virtakyt-

kimen 11 punainen LED-merkkivalo sammuu

samanaikaisesti, jotta tuotteen päällekytkentä

ei häiritse latausta.

Kytke aurinkokennon aurinkoenergiajohdon

pistoke 14 kohdevalon 10 aurinkoenergia-

liittimeen 8. Sijoita aurinkokenno 12 kuten

luvussa „Aurinkokennon 12 asennus“ on

kuvattu.

Huomautus: jos aurinko on paistanut riit-

tävästi, akku on täyteenladattu 4–6 päivän

kuluttua. Akun lataamisen kestoaika riippuu

akun lataustilasta sekä auringonsäteilyn voi-

makkuudesta.

Asennus

Huomautus: poista kaikki pakkausmateriaali.

Päätä ennen asennusta, minne asennat aurinko-

kennon 12 ja kohdevalon 10 . Aurinkokenno 12

ja kohdevalo 10 voidaan asentaa toisistaan

riippumatta, mutta ne pitää liittää toisiinsa asen-

nuksen jälkeen n. 5 m pitkällä aurinkokennon

12 virtajohdolla. Sijoita virtajohto asennuksen

jälkeen siten, että se ei altistu mekaaniselle kuor-

mitukselle. Käytä virtajohdon kiinnitykseen taval-

lisia asennustarvikkeita, esim. kaarikiinnikkeitä

tai kaapelikanavia, jotta virtajohdon eristys ei

vaurioidu.

Huomautus: toimituksen sisältämät kiinnitys-

tarvikkeet soveltuvat kiinteään tiiliseinään. Muihin

pintoihin tarvitaan mahdollisesti muita kiinnitys-

tarvikkeita. Pyydä tarvittaessa apua alan ammat-

tilaiselta.

Kohdevalon asennus

Varmista, ettet seinää poratessasi osu sähkö-,

kaasu tai vesijohtoihin. Käytä porakonetta rei-

kien poraamiseen seinään. Noudata aina myös

porakoneesi käyttö- ja turvallisuusohjeita. Muu-

toin seurauksena voi olla sähköiskun aiheuttama

kuolema tai loukkaantuminen.

Huomioi seuraavat asiat kohdevalon 10 asen-

nuspaikan valinnassa:

Varmista, että kohdevalo 10 valaisee halutun

alueen. Kohdevaloa 10 voidaan liikuttaa.

Varmista, että liiketunnistin 9 ulottuu halu-

tulle alueelle. Liiketunnistimen 9

tunnistusalue on kork. 12 m tunnistuskulman

ollessa n. 180° (asennuskorkeudesta riip-

puen – suositeltava korkeus on 1,8‒2,5 m)

(kuva D).

Varmista, etteivät katuvalot valaise liiketun-

nistinta 9 yöllä. Tämä voi vaikuttaa sen

toimintoon.

Löysää lukitusruuveja 4, jotta kiinnitin 3

voidaan irrottaa kohdevalosta 10 .

Merkitse ulommat porausreiät seinään kiin-

nittimen 3 avulla.

Poraa reiät ja kiinnitä kiinnitin 3 tuottee-

seen sisältyvillä tulpilla 1 ja ruuveilla 2.

Kiinnitä kohdevalo 10 kiinnittimeen 3

aiemmin löysätyillä ruuveilla 4, jousi- 5

ja aluslevyillä 6. Varmista, että jousi- 5 ja

aluslevyt 6 on asetettu kuvan A mukaisesti.

Aurinkokennon asennus

Varmista, ettet osu sähkö-, kaasu- tai vesijohtoihin

seinää poratessasi. Käytä porakonetta reikien

poraamiseen seinään. Noudata aina myös po-

rakoneesi käyttö- ja turvallisuusohjeita. Muutoin

seurauksena voi olla sähköiskun aiheuttama

kuolema tai loukkaantuminen.

Kun valitset aurinkokennon 12 asennuspaikkaa,

huomioi seuraavat seikat:

Aurinkokenno 12 asennetaan mahdollisuuk-

sien mukaan suoraan auringonvaloon.

Myös aurinkokennon 12 osittainen varjos-

tus päivän aikana voi heikentää huomatta-

vasti latausta.

Ilmansuunnat:

Optimaalisessa tapauksessa aurinkokenno tulisi

kohdistaa etelän suuntaan. Valitse mieluummin

pieni poikkeama lännen suuntaan kuin idän

suuntaan.

Kohdistus vaakasuoraan:

Aurinkokennon 12 kohdistus vaakasuoraan riip-

puu asennuspaikan maantieteellisestä leveysas-

teesta. Keski-Euroopassa ihanteellinen kulma on

30–40°.

Aurinkokennon 12 takapinnassa on asennuslevy,

jossa on 6 reikää.

Asenna aurinkokenno 12 valitsemaasi paik-

kaan. Käytä asennukseen 4 pientä ruuvia 13

ja tulppaa 15 . Asennuslevystä voidaan va-

lita neljä asennuspaikkaan sopivinta reikää;

parhaassa tapauksessa valitse vasemmalla

ja oikealla sijaitsevat reiät (kuva B).

Aseta sitten aurinkoenergiajohdon pistoke 14

ja kytke se kohdevalon 10 aurinkoenergia-

liittimeen 8.

Aurinkokenno 12 ja asennuslevy on liitetty

toisiinsa kierrenivelellä. Kohdista aurinko-

kenno 12 niin, että se on suorassa aurin-

gonvalossa.

Käyttöönotto

Liiketunnistimen kytkeminen

päälle ja pois päältä

Kytke liiketunnistin 9 päälle painamalla vir-

takytkin 11 ON-asentoon; virtakytkimen 11

punainen LED-merkkivalo palaa samanai-

kaisesti.

Kytke liiketunnistin 9 pois päältä paina-

malla virtakytkin 11 OFF-asentoon; virtakyt-

kimen 11 punainen LED-merkkivalo sammuu

samanaikaisesti.

Valaisuajan säätäminen

Käännä liiketunnistimen 9 pohjassa sijait-

sevaa TIME-kääntösäädintä 19 myötäpäi-

vään valaisuajan pidentämiseksi (kuva C).

Valaisuajan voi säätää n. 5 s +/– 2 s ja

5 min +/– 1 min välille.

Anturin herkkyyden

säätäminen

Käännä liiketunnistimen 9 pohjassa sijait-

sevaa SENS-kääntösäädintä 18 myötäpäi-

ään anturin herkkyyden lisäämiseksi (kuva C).

Huomautus: liiketunnistin 9 reagoi läm-

pösäteilyyn. Se reagoi viileällä säällä her-

kemmin kehon lämpötilaan kuin lämpimällä

säällä. Säädä anturin herkkyyttä tarvittaessa

aina vuodenajan mukaan.

Valoherkkyyden säätäminen

Käännä liiketunnistimen 9 pohjassa sijait-

sevaa LUX-kääntösäädintä 17 myötäpäivään

valoherkkyyden lisäämiseksi. Asennossa

liiketunnistin 9 reagoi vain yöllä pimeällä

(n. 5 lx). Asennossa liiketunnistin 9 rea-

goi myös päivänvalossa niin kauan, kun n.

20 000 luksin raja ei ylity (kuva C).

Liiketunnistimen

kohdistaminen

Löysää liiketunnistimen 9 kiinnitysruuvia 7.

Käännä LUX-kääntösäädintä 17 asentoon .

Kohdista liiketunnistin 9 halutun tunnistus-

alueen keskipisteeseen.

Liiku tunnistusalueella, kunnes olet tyytyväinen

liiketunnistimen 9 reagoimiseen. Muuta

tätä varten SENS-kääntösäätimen 18 asen-

toa tai liiketunnistimen 9 kohdistusta.

Kiristä kiinnitysruuvi 7, jotta säädöt säilyvät.

Käännä LUX-kääntösäädintä 17 haluttuun

asentoon. Tee säätö hämärän aikana, jol-

loin kohdevalon 10 tulee reagoida. Käännä

LUX-kääntösäädintä 17 hitaasti myötäpäi-

vään, kunnes se reagoi liikkeeseen tunnis-

tusalueella.

Puhdistus ja säilytys

Paina virtakytkin 11 OFF-asentoon, kun et

käytä tuotetta ja haluat laittaa sen säilytyk-

seen.

Tarkista säännöllisesti liiketunnistimen 9 ja

aurinkokennon 12 likaantuneisuus. Jos ne

ovat likaantuneita, puhdista ne tuotteen häi-

riöttömän toiminnan takaamiseksi.

Puhdista tuote, erityisesti aurinkokenno 12 ,

talvella lumesta ja jäästä.

Puhdista tuote kevyesti kostutetulla nukatto-

malla liinalla ja miedolla puhdistusaineella.
