MRS Duo Flex

MRS Duo Flex is a mobile 2 post gantry intended

for Molift Air and Nomad lifters. The purpose is

for lifting and transferring a person from/to bed,

ﬂoor, chair, wheelchair or toilet with a sling. MRS

Duo Flex can be disassembled and transfered to

alternative locations, and has adjustable posts

with min/max heights from 1,89 to 2,54 meters.

Available telescope boom lengths are 2 - 3m and

3 - 4m. The load capacity is 275 kg (606 lbs). It is

ideal for hospitals and institutional care settings,

but can also be used in private`s homes. The gan-

try should only be used indoor on ﬂat surfaces.

Make sure the following parts are included in the

package.

Beware of sharp edges at the ends

of the boom.

Mounting telescopic boom

1. Place the column on the ﬂoor with the 2 holes

facing sideward.

2. Place the boom between the columns.

3. Connect the columns with the boom and

tighten the 2 screws (M10).

4. Repeat the procedure at the opposite side.

Ensure that the joint is stable,

otherwise the 2 post system will be

unstable and not safe to use

Mounting base

1. Lift the column slightly and connect the base.

2. Tighten the 4 screws (M8) under the base.

3. Repeat the procedure at the opposite side.

4. Raise the MRS Duo Flex to an upright position.

It can be an advantage to lock the castors.

Ensure that the joint is stable,

otherwise the 2 post system will be

unstable and not safe to use

Mounting charger to column

1. Fasten lover screw ﬁrst (M5).

2. Place charger on screw and insert upper screw

(M5).

3. Use allen key and tighten bolt.

How to use MRS Duo Flex

Adjusting telescope boom

Easy to adjust width without tools. Loosen the

locking handle, slide boom to wanted position,

then tighten handle.

Remember to tighten the locking

handle when the boom is adjusted

Adjusting heights of post

Instant height adjustment (gas spring mecha-

nism). A simple user guide is placed above the

handle.

1. To adjust the height, loosen the height

adjustment handle. Turn the handle counterc-

lockwise until a faint click is heard.

2. Pull out the handle and adjust the height to

desired position.

3. When the handle is released it is important

that there will be a clear click to ensure that

the height is adjusted and thus locked.

4. Tighten the adjusting handle by turning it

clockwise.

Don`t stand under boom when adjust-

ing post height

Castors

Two sets of castors with brakes. Simply step on

the pedal to activate the brake.

Lifting user

1. Make sure the ﬂoor is level.

2. Place the gantry straight above the user.

3. Make sure that all four brakes are activated.

4. Read the user manual for Molift Air or Nomad

before lifting user.

Never leave a user unattended in a

lifting situation.

Never lift the user higher than

necessary to carry out a lift.

Transport and storage

The lifter can be stored and transported under

temperatures between -25 - 70 °C and Relative

Humidity between 15 - 93 %.

Molift Air or Molift Nomad ceiling hoist is charged

through the hand control. The hand control

charger can be mounted on the MRS Duo Flex.

Telescope boom

MRS Duo Flex can be delivered with 2 different

telescope boom lengths from 2-3 and 3-4 meters.

Maintenance

Cleaning and disinfection

Clean on a regular basis. Clean surfaces with

a damp cloth using an appropriate pH-neutral

detergent. Do not use solvents or strong liquids,

this may damage surfaces on the lifter. For

disinfection when needed; use isopropyl alcohol.

Avoid abrasive cleaning products. Remove hair

and pile from the castors and verify that the

castors rotates freely. Clean contact and hand

control with isopropyl alcohol to remove grease

and dirt.

Make sure not to damage or

remove labels when cleaning.

Reconditioning

Follow cleaning and assembly procedure, complete

periodic inspection and use checklist after assem-

bly to recondition MRS Duo Flex.

Recycling

Molift MRS Duo Flex can be disposed of as metal

waste exept the battery charger. Battery charger

must be removed and disposed of as Electrical

equipment.

Periodic Inspection

Periodic Inspection Scope

Periodic inspection is a visual examination (particu-

larly MRS Duo Flex structure, bolts and lifters with

attachments, safety devices and person-support

devices) according to Periodic Inspection Report

for MRS Duo Flex. This can be found on www.

etac.com.

In the event of danger to safety,

the gantry shall immediately be

taken out of service and marked

clearly with “out of order” and

shall not be used until MRs Duo

Flex is repaired

Periodic Inspection shall be performed at least

once a year or more frequently if required by local

requirements. The inspection should be performed

by service personnel authorized by Etac. Contact

Etac for training and authorization or recommen-

dation of an approved service partner.

When performing a periodic inspection, the

inspector shall ﬁll out the inspection report for

MRS Duo Flex. The reports should be retained by

the person(s) responsible for servicing the lifter. If

the inspection reveals defects and damages, the

owner shall be notiﬁed and a copy of the report

should be sent to Etac, molift@etac.com.

When periodic inspection is completed the

inspector shall mark the gantry with a sticker on

the control label showing the date when periodic

inspection is performed and a label (with 6-digit

ID from Etac or distributor) showing who has per-

formed the periodic control. The control label can

be found on the post, and this will then indicate

when next service should be performed.

Troubleshooting

Wobbly between base and support column. Check bolts in base. Make sure bolts is properly

fastened.

The height adjustment does not work The gas spring is defective. Replace with a new

MRS Duo Flex

MRS Duo Flex ist ein mobiles Portal mit zwei

Ständern für Molift Air und Nomad Lifter. Es ist

bestimmt für das Heben und Umsetzen einer

Person mit einem Tuch in ein Bett, Stuhl, Rollstuhl,

Toilettensitz oder zu Boden und umgekehrt. MRS

Duo Flex kann einfach abgebaut und an anderen

Orten wieder aufgebaut werden. Die Ständer

können zwischen einer minimalen und maximalen

Höhe von 1,89 und 2,54 m verstellt werden. Die

einstellbaren Längen des Teleskopauslegers sind

2-3 m und 3-4 m. Die Tragfähigkeit beträgt 275

kg (606 lbs). Es eignet sich ideal für Krankenhäuser

und Pﬂegeeinrichtungen, kann aber auch im häus-

lichen Bereich eingesetzt werden. Das Portal nur in

Innenräumen und auf ebenen Flächen verwenden.

Stellen Sie sicher, dass folgende Teile im Paket

enthalten sind.

Vorsicht vor scharfen Kanten an

den Auslegerenden.

Teleskopausleger montieren

1. Legen Sie den Ständer so auf den Boden, dass

beide Löcher zur Seite zeigen.

2. Legen Sie den Ausleger zwischen die Ständer.

3. Verbinden Sie die Ständer mit dem Ausleger

und ziehen Sie die beiden Schrauben fest

(M10).

4. Wiederholen Sie den Vorgang für die

gegenüberliegende Seite.

Sicherstellen, dass die Schrauben

fest angezogen sind. Ansonsten ist

das Zwei-Ständer-System instabil

und kann nicht sicher verwendet

werden.

Basis montieren

1. Heben Sie den Ständer leicht an und stecken

Sie ihn auf die Basis.

2. Ziehen Sie die vier Schrauben (M8) unterhalb

der Basis fest.

3. Wiederholen Sie den Vorgang für die gegenü-

berliegende Seite.

4. Stellen Sie das MRS Duo Flex in eine aufre-

chte Position. Dabei ist es von Vorteil, die

Schwenkrollen festzustellen.

Sicherstellen, dass das Gelenk stabil

ist. Ansonsten ist das Zwei-Ständer-

System instabil und kann nicht

sicher verwendet werden.

Ladegerät an Ständer montieren

1. Zuerst die untere Schraube festzie-

hen (M5).

2. Ladegerät auf die Schraube platzieren und

obere Schraube (M5) einführen.

3. Mit dem Inbusschlüssel die Schraube

festziehen.

Verwendung des MRS Duo Flex

Teleskopausleger einstellen

Die Breite ist ganz einfach ohne Werkzeug verstell-

bar. Lösen Sie den Verriegelungsgriff, verschieben

Sie den Ständer auf die gewünschte Position und

verriegeln Sie erneut den Griff.

Denken Sie daran, den

Verriegelungsgriff festzustellen, wenn

der Ständer eingestellt wurde

Ständerhöhe einstellen

Schnell-Höhenverstellung (Gasfeder-

Mechanismus). Über dem Griff beﬁndet sich eine

einfach Bedienungsanleitung.

1. Lösen Sie zum Verstellen der Höhe den

Höhenverstellungsgriff. Drehen Sie den Griff

gegen den Uhrzeigersinn, bis ein leichtes

Klicken zu hören ist.

2. Ziehen Sie den Griff heraus und stellen Sie die

gewünschte Höhe ein.

3. Beim Loslassen des Griffs muss ein deutliches

Klicken zu hören sein. Damit wird sicherge-

stellt, dass die Höhe eingestellt und der Griff

eingerastet ist.

4. Stellen Sie den Verriegelungsgriff durch

Drehen im Uhrzeigersinn wieder fest.

Stellen Sie sich nicht unter den

Ausleger, während Sie die Ständerhöhe

einstellen.

Schwenkrollen

Zwei Sätze Lenkrollen mit Bremsen. Zum

Feststellen der Bremse einfach auf das Pedal

drücken.

Benutzer anheben

1. Stellen Sie sicher, dass der Boden eben ist.

2. P Positionieren Sie das Portal direkt über dem

Benutzer.

3. Stellen Sie sicher, dass alle vier Bremsen

eingerastet sind.

4. Vor dem Anheben des Benutzers die Bedi-

enungsanleitung von Molift Air oder Nomad

lesen.

Lassen Sie den Benutzer während

des Hebetransports niemals

unbeaufsichtigt.

Heben Sie einen Benutzer niemals

höher an, als für die Durchführung

des Hebetransports unbedingt

notwendig ist.

Transport und Lagerung

Der Lifter kann bei Umgebungstemperaturen

von -25 bis +70 °C und bei einer relativen

Luftfeuchtigkeit von 15 - 93 % gelagert und

transportiert werden.
