INTRODUCTION
This instruction manual has been written to simplify the use and maintenance of the compressor. Strict atten-
tion should be paid to the contents of this manual to ensure a correct and economical operation of the com-
pressor. “WARNING” indications underline those operations which, if not carried out correctly, could cause
damage to people or objects. We strongly recommend the use of original spare parts which will guarantee the
efficiency and service life of the compressor.
INSTALLATION
Place the compressor on a flat surface in a well ventilated area, away from corrosive, flammable and explosive
materials.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
After removing the compressor from its packaging and having ascertained that it is in perfect condition, carry
out the following operations:
- Fit the wheels and rubber washers on the tank, if they are not already installed (Fig. 1).
- Fit the intake filter in the compressor, if it is not already installed (Fig. 2).
- Replace the oil cap on the block (Fig. 3). Check the oil level by referring to the notches on the dipstick.
START UP
- Turn the knob of the pressure switch to “0” position (Fig. 6). Insert the plug into the socket (Fig. 7) and
start the compressor by turning the knob of the pressure switch to “1” position.
- The operation of the compressor is completely automatic and is controlled by the pressure switch which
stops it when the pressure in the air tank reaches the maximum level and re-starts it when the pressure
drops to minimum.
- An extension cord should not be used unless absolutely necessary. In such case, use an extension cord
with a cross section of 2,5 mm2 and length of max. 10 m.
CAUTION
- Electric compressors must be connected to a power socket protected by an adequate circuit breaker.
- When the thermal switch is tripped, wait a few minutes before manually resetting the switch (Fig. 6).
- After connecting the compressor to the air line, run a load at the maximum pressure to make sure the ma-
chine functions correctly. The head-cylinder-feed pipe –unit can reach high temperatures. Do not touch
these parts when working in their proximity in order to avoid burns (Fig. 18).
- Before starting to work, leave the compressor on for several minutes with the air valve completely open in
order to favour proper distribution of lubrication. After the first 5 hours of operation, check that the screws
on the block and motor fairing are tight.
ADJUSTMENT OF WORKING PRESSURE
Unblock the knob of the pressure reducer by pulling it up and adjust the pressure to required level by turning
the knob. Lock it by pushing it firmly down (Fig. 8).
MAINTENANCE
Every 50 working hours, remove the intake filter and clean the filter element with compressed air (Fig. 9).
