Mounting instructions
1.
Ställ MC:n på centralstödet.
2.
Demontera sadel och sidokåpor.
3.
Demontera anordningen som sköter såväl fjäder som
returjustering. Tag därefter bort gummiskyddet och
haka av “kedjan”.
4.
Lossa och demontera länkens “mittre” skruv samt
nedre stötdämparskruven. (Detta underlättas om
hjulet lyft någots)
5.
Demontera det rektangulära plaströret på vänster
sida. (Som leder till luftrenaren.)
6.
Lossa och demontera övre stötdämparskruven och
demontera originaldämparen nedåt.
7.
Den nya Öhlin-dämparen kan nu monteras. Starta
med att föra justercylindern upp och ut på höger sida
(se skiss). Följ efter med stötdämparen och montera
övre stötdämparskruven.
8.
Monter nedre stötdämparskruven samt länkens
skruv.
9.
Montera justercylindern med tillhörande fästen
enligt skiss. OBS! Se till att slangen ej får några
“veck” vid monteringen.
10.
Drag åt samtliga skruvar.
11.
Montera det rektangulära plaströret samt sidokåpor
och sadel.
1.
Put the motorcycle on the center stand.
2.
Remove the seat and side covers.
3.
Remove the unit that controls spring preload and
rebound damping. Then remove the rubber cover
which is on the same mount.
4.
Loosen and remove the linkage bolt, and the lower
shockbolt.
5.
Remove the plastic tube on the left side, leading to
the air filter.
6.
Loosen and remove the upper shockbolt. Then
remove the shockabsorber downwards.
7.
Mounting of the new Öhlin-shockabsorber:
Move the shockabsorber upwards with the spring
adjuster upwards, and guide the adjuster cylinder
towards the mounting plate for the original adjuster
unit (see fig.) and mount the upper shockbolt.
8.
Mount the lower shockbolt, and the bolt to the
linkage.
9.
Mount the hydraulic preload adjuster (see fig).
10.
Make sure that all bolts are tightened.
11.
Mount the plastic tube, side covers and the seat.
