GETTING STARTED
• Connect the MATRIX Creator to the development board using the main GPIO connector.
Check the compatibility status of your development board at: http://creator.matrix.one/boards
• Plug in the power supply to the development board. This should turn on the development
board as well as MATRIX Creator and start the booting process.
• Follow the installation guide at: http://matrix-io.github.io/matrix-documentation
WARNINGS
• MATRIX Creator has been designed to be compatible with Raspberry Pi GPIO header boards,
listed at http://creator.matrix.one/boards. Connecting incompatible devices may affect
performance or result in damage to the unit and invalidate the warranty.
• This product shall only be connected to a compatible development board, using an external
power supply rated at 5V DC, with a minimum current of 2A. Any external power supply used
with the MATRIX Creator shall comply with relevant regulations and standards applicable in the
country of intended use.
• This product should be operated in a well ventilated environment. If a case is used, it should
have adequate ventilation.
• This product should be operated and stored on a non-conductive surface. Avoid contact with
conductive items to minimize the risk of electrostatic discharge, which may damage the product.
• For assembly over Raspberry Pi, use spacers (18mm, M2/M3 nylon) to provide support for the
MATRIX Creator. Avoid using metal spacers as it may interfere with the signals emitted from the
product.
• Connecting incompatible devices to the GPIO connector may affect performance or result in
damage to the unit and invalidate the warranty.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR SAFE USE
• Do not expose it to water, moisture or place on a conductive surface whilst in operation.
• Do not expose it to heat from any source; MATRIX Creator is designed for reliable operation at
normal ambient room temperatures.
• Take care whilst handling to avoid mechanical or electrical damage to the printed circuit board
and connectors.
• Avoid handling the printed circuit board while it is powered. Handle MATRIX Creator by the
edges to minimize the risk of electrostatic discharge damage.
