injuries or damage when handling and using the

product.

In this manual the user is the person being lifted.

The assistant is the person operating the sling.

this product is CE-marked.

Etac Molift slings are tested by accredited test

institutes and comply with the standards outlined

in the Medical Devices Directive for Class 1

products MDR (EU) 2017/745. The slings fulﬁl

the requirements speciﬁed in the EN ISO 10535

standard.

Warranty: Two years for material and manufactur-

ing defects with correct use.

Safety Precautions

To be aware of

The manual for both lift and sling must be

read thoroughly before use to avoid injury

when handling and using the product.

It is important that the sling has been tested with

the individual user and for the intended lifting situ-

ation. Make a decision on whether one or more

assistants are required.

Plan the lifting operation in advance to ensure that

it is as safe and smooth as possible. Remember to

work ergonomically.

Assess the risks and take notes. You as a carer are

responsible for the safety of the user.

Never lift a user higher from the starting

point than what is necessary to carry out

a sit to stand transfer. Never leave the user

unattended in a lifting situation

Always check

• that the user has the required ability for the

sling in question

• that the model, size and material are suitable

• that the sling is suitable for the lift/suspension

to be used.

• It is important to check that the sling ropes

are correctly attached to the suspension

before lifting the user.

• Make sure wheels on the wheelchair, bed or

bunk are locked when necessary during the

transfer process.

Inspection

The sling must be inspected regularly, preferably

prior to each lifting operation but especially after it

has been washed.

• Check to ensure that there is no wear or dam-

age to seams, fabric, straps and loops.

Never use a faulty or damaged sling as

it can break and cause personal injury.

Destroy and discard damaged and old

slings

The sling should not be stored in direct

sunlight.

Periodic inspection

Periodic inspection must be carried out at least

every 6 months. More regular inspection may be

required if the sling is used or washed more often

than is normal. See the periodic inspection form at

Description

Etac Molift supplies a wide selection of slings for

different types of transfers. The Molift RgoSling

is designed to distribute even weight and pres-

sure to make it as comfortable as possible.

The Molift RgoSling is developed to be used with

the sit-to-stand lift Molift Quick Raiser.

The Molift RgoSling StandUp is available in sizes

XS – XL, in padded polyester.

Etac Molift RgoSling StandUp

Molift RgoSling StandUp is a sit to stand sling

designed for active movements in combination

with the sit to stand lifter Molift Quick Raiser.

The user can move from one sitting to another

sitting position, the product even works for the

transfer to a toilet.

RgoSling Standup is suitable for patients who

can follow instructions, have good stability in

the torsoe and can load and support at least one

leg, but is in the need of help when standing up.

RgoSling StandUp have a high cut back and is

padded to give good comfort. It is placed around

the body to provide support to the lower back.

The sling has an anti-slip inside and a waist belt,

which helps with keeping the sling in place dur-

ing transfer.

Etac Molift RgoSling StandUp w/Support

When the user requires extra support when

standing up, a support band, Standup Support

can be used.

The sling has a rope in each side which attaches

to the suspension / lift arm on the lift Quick-

raiser. There are two different kinds of suspen-

sions. See the combination list for the correct

sling and suspension combination.

The product has an expected service life of 1 to

5 years under normal use. The service life of the

product varies depending on usage frequency,

materials, loads and how often it is washed.

Care/Washing

Read the care instructions on the product.

1. Water washable slings can be washed at

temperatures ranging from 60 to 85º C

degrees.

Washing at higher temperatures wears

out the material faster.

2. Tumble drying, max 45º C.

B3. Place RgoSling Standup around the waist of

the user and tighten the belt.

B4. Place the lifter in position for fastening the

sling to the suspension

B1.Hold the sling with one hand and use the other

hand to support the patient while leaning him

forward. Slide the sling down behind the user’s

back. Place the sling approximately in waist height

on the back.

B2. It is recommended to be two assistants when

applying RgoSling with support. Place the support

under the user. This is easier if the patient can lean

forward. The support should hang loosely behind

his back. Tighten the support so much that it acts

as a support when lifting. It must not be tightened

so that it takes up the whole load.

B5. Fasten the sling to the suspension on the

U-shaped suspension by pulling the rope down

into connection point. On the V-shaped suspen-

ions the ropes are fastened by pulling the rope

into the ropelock/connection point from the inside

and out. The ropes should be pulled down in the

locks so that they are sufﬁciently fastened to avoid

slipping of the ropes when lifting.

B6. Check the length, and make sure the ropes are

fastened with equal length on both sides.

If the patient is large and heavy, it may be neces-

sary to pull the ropes from the outside in on the

V-shaped suspension in order to increase the

width between the connection points

B7. The patient’s weight ensures that the

rope locks into the suspension. The user

should lean back slightly when lifting, and

if possible hold onto the handles.

The waist belt should be retightened when

lifting begins and when the sling is loaded

The user should not stand fully upright

during the transfer because this is uncom-

fortable for the user.

When using RgoSling Standup with support

the support part can be removed when the

user is in standing position.

Removing Sling

D1. Release the band by sliding your ﬁngers along

the rope away from the patient.

D2. Stand next too the chair and lean the user

forward while supporting with one hand. Pull

the sling away with the other hand, and lean

the user back in the chair. If you pull the sling

up hard, the user may fall forwards and be

injured. Always hold one hand around the

user.

Troubleshooting

Symptom Possible Cause/Action

The sling does not ﬁt the user. Wrong sling size. Try other size.

The sling is not correctly positioned.

Pull the sling enough down at the back when

ﬁtting it.

The sling is sliding up to the users armpits The user is not leaning backwards. Make the user

lean backwards when lifting.

The waist belt is loose. Tighten the waist belt

Försiktighetsåtgärder

För att undvika skador vid hantering och

användning ska alltid manual för både

lyft och lyftsele läsas igenom noga före

användning.

Det är viktigt att selen är utprovad för den

enskilda brukaren och den avsedda lyftsituationen.

Gör en bedömning om det behövs en eller ﬂera

assistenter.

Planera lyftmomentet före lyft, så att det sker så

tryggt och smidigt som möjligt. Tänk på att arbeta

ergonomiskt.

Gör en riskbedömning och dokumentera. Som

vårdgivare är du ansvarig för brukarens säkerhet.

Lyft aldrig en brukare högre från underla-

get än vad som är nödvändigt för lyftets

genomförande. Lämna aldrig en brukare

utan tillsyn i en lyftsituation

Kontrollera alltid

• att brukaren har den funktion som krävs för

den aktuella selen

• att modell, storlek och material passar

• att selen passar för den lyft/lyftbygel som ska

användas

• Det är viktigt att kontrollera att bandöglorna

sitter rätt på upphängningskrokarna innan

brukaren lyfts från underlaget

• Se till att hjulen på rullstol,

• säng, brits etc. är låsta när så krävs under

förﬂyttningen

Tillsyn

Selen ska kontrolleras regelbundet, helst före varje

användning, men var särskilt noggrann efter att

den tvättats.

• Kontrollera så att inga förslitningar eller skador

ﬁnns på sömmar, tyg, band och öglor.

Använd aldrig en trasig eller skadad

lyftsele, den kan gå sönder och orsaka

personskador. Kassera skadade eller slitna

selar

Selen bör ej förvaras i direkt solljus.

Periodisk inspektion

Periodisk inspektion skall utföras minst var 6:e

månad. Tätare inspektioner kan krävas om selen

används eller tvättas oftare än normalt. Se pro-

tokoll för periodisk inspektion på www.molift.com.

Etac Molift erbjuder ett brett sortiment av

lyftselar för olika slags förﬂyttningar. Etac Molift

RgoSling är utformad för att ge en jämn vikt-

och belastningsfördelning för att vara så bekväm

som möjligt.

Molift RgoSling StandUp är utvecklad för att

användas i kombination med uppresningslyften

Molift Quick Raiser.

Molift RgoSling StandUp ﬁnns som polstrad

modell i polyestertyg i storlek XS – XL.

Etac Molift RgoSling StandUp

är en uppresningssele som utformats för aktiva

rörelser i kombination med uppresningslyften

Molift Quick Raiser.

Brukaren kan ﬂytta från en sittande position

till en annan, och uppresningsselen kan även

användas för att ﬂytta brukaren till toaletten.

RgoSling Standup är lämplig för patienter som

kan följa instruktioner, som har god stabilitet i

torson och som kan belasta och stödja sig på

minst ett ben, men som behöver hjälp för att

ställa sig upp.

RgoSling StandUp har hög rygg och är polstrad

för god komfort. Den placeras runt kroppen för

att stödja nedre delen av ryggen.

Selen har halkskydd på insidan och ett mid-

jebälte som hjälper till att hålla selen på plats

under förﬂyttning.

När brukaren behöver extra stöd för att ställa sig

upp kan Etac Molift RgoSling StandUp med stöd

användas.

Selen har ett snöre på vardera sidan som fästs på

lyftarmen på selen Quickraiser.

Det ﬁnns två olika sorters upphängning.

Se kombinationslistan för att hitta rätt sele och

upphängningsanordning.

Produkten har en förväntad livslängd på 1-5 år

vid normal användning. Livslängden på produk-

ten varierar beroende på användningsfrekvens,

B3. Placera RgoSling Standup runt brukarens midja

och dra åt bältet.

B4. Placera lyften i rätt position för att fästa selen i

upphängningsanordningen.

B1.Håll lyftselen med ena handen och använd den

andra handen för att stödja patienten när du lutar

honom/henne framåt. För ner lyftselen bakom

brukarens rygg. Placera selen ungefär i midjehöjd

bak.

B2. När RgoSling med stöd appliceras rekommen-

deras det att vara två assistenter. Placera stödet

under brukaren. Detta går lättare om patienten

kan luta sig framåt. Stödet ska hänga löst bakom

brukarens rygg. Dra åt remmarna så mycket att

selen är ett stöd under lyften. Remmarna ska inte

dras åt så mycket att de tar hela belastningen.

B5. Fäst selen i upphängningen på den U-formade

upphängningen genom att dra ner snöret i

kopplingspunkten. På de V-formade upphängning-

sanordningarna fäster man snörena genom att dra

dem genom låset/kopplingspunkten inifrån och ut.

Snörena ska dras ned tillräckligt långt genom låsen

så att de sitter fast ordentligt för att undvika att

de glider ur vid lyft.

B6. Kontrollera längden och se till att snörena är

lika långa på båda sidor.

Om patienten är stor och tung kan det vara

nödvändigt att dra snörena utifrån och in på den

V-formade upphängningsanordningen för att öka

bredden mellan kopplingspunkterna.

B7. Patientens tyngd gör att snöret låses

fast i upphängningen. Brukaren ska lutas

tillbaka något vid lyft och om möjligt hålla

fast i handtagen.

Midjebältet ska dras åt igen när lyftet

påbörjas och när selen är lastad.

Brukaren ska inte stå helt upprätt under

förﬂyttningen eftersom det är obekvämt

för honom/henne.

Vid användning av RgoSling Standup med

stöd kan stöddelen tas av när brukaren står

upprätt.
