Body Analyser Scale

Intended usage

These scales are intended for measuring the weight

of people. The scales have a weighing range of up

to 180 kg. Furthermore, the scales are designed to

measure the body fat, water content, muscle and

bone mass. Moreover, it is possible to determine

the daily calorie requirement by entering the sex,

age, height and weight. The device is not intended

for commercial use.

Protect your scales from impact,

moisture, dust, chemicals and

sudden changes in temperature

and keep them away from

sources of heat (ovens, heating

radiators).

Check the device for damage

before bringing it into use. If the

device is damaged do not use it.

Remove the battery if the device

breaks down or is defective.

Otherwise there is an increased

risk of leaking.

Never open the housing of the

device. This could result in per-

sonal injury or damage to the

device. Always have any repairs

carried out at the service centre

or by an electrical equipment

repair specialist.

The product is not suitable for

use by pregnant women.

TO LIFE! Batteries are not in-

tended for children. Do not leave

batteries lying around. They may

otherwise be swallowed by

children or pets. If accidentally

swallowed seek immediate

medical attention.

Never recharge single-use

batteries. Do not short-circuit or

open them. The battery may

overheat, ignite or explode. Never

throw batteries into ﬁre or water.

The batteries could explode.

Avoid extreme environ-

mental conditions and

temperatures as they may aﬀect

batteries e.g. above radiators.

Otherwise there is an increased

risk of leaking. Exhausted or

damaged batteries can cause

caustic burns upon contact with

the skin. To avoid this, always

wear suitable protective gloves

in these circumstances!

Avoid contact with the skin, eyes

and mucous membranes if ﬂuid

has leaked from the battery. In

the event of contact with battery

acid, thoroughly ﬂush the aﬀected

area with clean water and seek

immediate medical attention.

Remove light dirt from the bat-

tery and product contacts with a

dry, lint-free cloth before insert-

ing the batteries.

Remove the battery from the

device if it is not going to be

used for a prolonged period.

When inserting the battery, en-

sure the correct polarity! This is

shown in the battery compart-

ment.

Remove a spent battery immedi-

ately from the device. There is

an increased risk of leaks!

Batteries must not be disposed

of in the normal domestic waste!

Every consumer is legally

obliged to dispose of batteries

in the proper manner!

Keep batteries away from chil-

dren. Do not throw batteries into

a ﬁre. Never short-circuit them or

take them apart.

If the above instructions are not

complied with, the battery may

discharge itself beyond its end

voltage. This will then pose a

risk of leaking. If the battery has

leaked inside your device, you

should remove it immediately in

process of setting the values.

Inserting / replacing

the battery

The product is supplied with a battery already

in place. Before the ﬁrst use, pull the battery

insulation strip out from between the battery

and the battery compartment

If the scales do not appear to work, check that

the battery has been inserted correctly and

reinsert it if necessary.

Note: The display indicates when it is time to

replace the battery. When you step on to the

scales and the battery is too weak, the LC dis-

play

shows „Lo“ and the scales switch oﬀ

automatically. If you see this message, replace

the exhausted battery with a new battery of

the same type. When you insert the battery,

make sure that the contacts do not get bent.

to switch on the scales. Press

the SET button again to set your personal data.

For model Z31332B: Press the ON / OFF but-

ton

to switch on the scales. Then press the

SET button

to set your personal data.

Note: The User ID

will ﬂash in the LC dis-

play

. The number stands for the data proﬁle

of one person from the user group.

2. Press the UP button

or the DOWN button

to select the data proﬁle (1–12).

3. Press the SET button to conﬁrm the selected

data proﬁle as well as to set the option of the

sex

and the athlete mode

4. Press the UP button

or the DOWN button

to select your sex and the athlete mode.

Note: The athlete mode is a setting for sporty,

highly trained or muscular persons.

5. Press the SET button

to conﬁrm your entry.

6. Now make the further settings. Repeat steps

4 and 5 to set the age

After you have made the settings, the display will

return automatically to the selection of the User ID.

You can either make settings for further users or

measure your body weight.

Note: The scales switch oﬀ automatically after

about 10 seconds if they are not used.

Use

Measuring the body weight

Tip: Weigh yourself at the same time of day (pref-

erably in the morning) after visiting the toilet, with

an empty stomach and without clothing to ensure

that your results are compatible.

Place the scales down on a solid, ﬂat horizontal

surface.

Step onto the platform

and do not move.

Moving during the weighing process can lead

to discrepancies in the results.

The scales will start to measure immediately.

After blinking twice, the weight display will show

the result.

Note: The scales are overloaded if the display

shows “Err”. Observe the maximum capacity

of 180 kg / 396 lbs / 28 st.

Step oﬀ the platform. The scales switch oﬀ

automatically after about 20 seconds. Until

then the weight measurement remains visible.

Note: The standard unit of weight is kilogram (kg).

The factory default setting for the scales as supplied

is “kg”. For model 103803-14-01 / 103803-14-02,

Step barefoot onto the platform

move. Ensure that you are standing on the two

electrodes

The weight measurement is beginning; remain

standing on the two electrodes. The measure-

ment lasts a few seconds (display indication - - -).

The LC display then shows the measured values

three times alternating between two groups.

Group 1: Percentage of body fat

Note: The display will show Err2, if you do not

stand on the two electrodes during weighing,

or if the total weight is above the weighing range.

Calibration of scales

Note: The scales must be re-calibrated whenever

they are moved or after every battery replacement.

To do this, proceed as follows:

Step on to the scales. The scales will show you

an incorrect measuring result.

Step oﬀ the platform

once again. The scales

will calibrate automatically. Wait until the scales

switch oﬀ automatically.

Step onto the scales once again. The scales

will show you the correct measuring result.

Trouble-shooting

The device contains delicate electronic components.

This means that if it is placed near an object that

transmits radio signals, it could cause interference.

If the display indicates a problem, move such

objects away from it.

Electrostatic discharges can lead to malfunctions. In

cases of the appliance failing to work, remove the

batteries for a short while and then replace them.

Cleaning

Do not use chemical cleaners or scouring agents

for cleaning the device.

Never immerse the device in water or other

liquids. Ignoring this advice may damage the

device.

Clean the device using a slightly moist cloth.

For more stubborn dirt you can also apply a

weak soap solution to the cloth.

Disposal

The packaging is made from environ-

mentally-friendly materials, which may

be disposed through your local recycling

facilities.

Contact your local refuse disposal authority for

more details on how to dispose of your worn-out

product.

To help protect the environment, please

dispose of the product properly when it

has reached the end of its useful life and

not in the household waste. Information

on collection points and their opening

hours can be obtained from your local

authority.

Defective or used batteries must be recycled in

accordance with Directive 2006 / 66 / EC. Return

batteries and / or the device to a local recycling

facility.

Improper disposal of batteries

can harm the environment!

Never dispose of batteries in your household waste.

They may contain toxic heavy metals and are sub-

ject to hazardous waste regulations. The chemical

symbols of the heavy metals are: Cd = cadmium,

Hg = mercury, Pb = lead. Therefore dispose of used

batteries through your municipal collection site.

The device has been manufactured to strict quality

guidelines and meticulously examined before deliv-

ery. In the event of product defects you have legal

rights against the retailer of this product. Your legal

rights are not limited in any way by our warranty

materials or manufacture within 3 years from the

Määräystenmukainen käyttö

Tämä vaaka on tarkoitettu ihmisten painon mittaa-

miseen. Vaa´an punnitusala on 180 kg. Vaaka

soveltuu myös kehon rasva- ja nestepitoisuuden

Puhdista likaantuneet pariston ja

Ota paristot pois laitteesta, jos

Ohje: Vaaka on varustettu “paristonvaihdon

ilmoittimella“. Jos vaa´an pariston teho on liian

heikko LC-näyttöön

ilmestyy sana ”Lo“,

jonka jälkeen vaaka kytkeytyy automaattisesti

pois päältä. Vaihda paristo siinä tapauksessa

uuteen samantyyppiseen paristoon. Varo paris-

toa paikoilleen asettaessasi, etteivät kontaktit

väänny.

Kun olet tehnyt asetukset, näyttöön ilmestyy auto-

maattisesti käyttäjätunnuksen valinta. Nyt voit joko

tehdä asetuksia muille käyttäjille tai punnita oman

painosi.

Huomautus: Vaaka kytkeytyy pois päältä n.

10 sekunnin kuluttua, jos se ei ole käytössä.

Käyttö

Painon punnitseminen

Ohje: Punnitse itsesi mahdollisuuksien mukaan

aina samaan vuorokaudenaikaan (mieluiten aamui-

sin), kun olet käynyt WC:ssä, et ole syönyt mitään

ja ilman vaatteita, jotta saamasi tulokset olisivat

vertailukelpoisia.

Aseta vaaka tukevalle, vaakasuoralle ja tasai-

selle alustalle.

Asetu astinpinnalle

ja seiso liikkumatta. Liik-

kuminen punnituksen aikana voi muuttaa punni-

tuksen tulosta.

Vaaka aloittaa heti punnitsemisen. Kun painon

näyttö on vilkkunut 2 kertaa näyttöön ilmestyy

mittaustulos.

Huomautus: Jos näyttöön ilmestyy ”Err“,

vaaka on silloin ylikuormitettu. Huomioi vaa’an

maksimi kantokyky 180 kg / (396 lbs / 28 st).

Astu pois astinpinnalta. Vaaka kytkeytyy pois

päältä noin 20 sekunnin kuluttua. Mittaustulos

on näkyvillä siihen asti.

Huomio: standardi-painoyksikkö on kilogramma

(kg). Toimitustilassa vaa’an painoyksiköksi on ase-

tettu “kg“. Painoyksikköä kg / lb / st:lb voit vaihtaa

painamalla mallissa 103803-14-01 / 103803-14-

02 kg / lb / st-painiketta

Asetu paljain jaloin astinpinnalle

ja seiso

liikkumatta. Varmista, että asetut molempien

elektrodien

päälle.

Painon mittaaminen alkaa; seiso molempien

elektrodien päällä liikkumatta. Mittaus kestää

muutaman sekunnin (näyttö - - -). Sen jälkeen

mitatut arvot näkyvät LC-näytössä kahdessa

ryhmässä yhteensä kolme kertaa.

Ryhmä 1: rasvapitoisuuden prosenttiosuus

nestepitoisuuden prosenttiosuus

Huomautus: Näyttöön ilmestyy Err2, jos et

seiso molempien elektrodien päällä punnitta-

essa tai mitattu paino ylittää punnitusalan.

Kun mitatut arvot on näytetty, vaaka kytkeytyy auto-

maattisesti pois päältä.

Vaa´an kalibroiminen

Huomio: Vaaka täytyy kalibroida uudelleen aina

kun vaihdat punnituspaikkaa tai uuden pariston.

Toimi tällöin seuraavalla tavalla:

Asetu vaa´alle. Vaaka näyttää väärän mittaus-

tuloksen.

Poistu astinpinnalta

. Laitteen kalibrointi

tapahtuu nyt automaattisesti. Odota, kunnes

vaaka kytkeytyy automaattisesti pois päältä.

Asetu nyt uudelleen vaa´alle. Vaaka näyttää

nyt oikean mittaustuloksen.

Vikojen korjaus

Laitteessa on herkkiä elektronisia rakenneosia.

Tästä syystä on mahdollista, että laitteen toimintaa

häiritsevät välittömässä läheisyydessä olevat radio-

lähettimet. Jos näyttöön tulee virheilmoituksia,

poista tällaiset laitteet laitteen ympäristöstä.

Sähköstaattiset purkaukset voivat aiheuttaa toimin-

tahäiriöitä. Poista tällaisten toimintohäiriöiden esiin-

tyessä paristo hetkeksi ja aseta se sitten takaisin

paikoilleen.

Puhdistus

Älä käytä puhdistuksessa kemiallisia puhdistus-

aineita tai hankaavia aineita.

Älä koskaan upota tuotetta veteen tai muihin

nesteisiin. Laite voi muuten vioittua.

Puhdista tuote hieman kostealla liinalla. Jos

laite on normaalia likaisempi, voit kostuttaa

puhdistusliinan myös miedolla saippualiuok-

sella.

Hävittäminen

Pakkaus koostuu ympäristöystävällisistä

materiaaleista, jotka voit viedä paikalli-

seen kierrätyspisteeseen.

Kysy kuntasi tai kaupunkisi viranomaisilta neuvoja

käytettyjen tuotteiden hävittämismahdollisuuksista.

Älä heitä käytettyä tuotetta kotitalousjät-

teisiin. Hävitä tuote ympäristöystävälli-

sesti toimittamalla se asianmukaiseen

jätehuoltoon. Paikallisesta kunnan- tai

kaupunginvirastosta saat lisätietoja kier-

rätyspisteistä ja niiden aukioloajoista.

Vialliset ja käytetyt paristot on kierrätettävä direktii-

vin 2006 / 66 / EY mukaisesti. Palauta paristot

ja / tai laite lähimpään keräyspisteeseen.

Paristojen väärä hävittämistapa

aiheuttaa ympäristövahinkoja!

Paristoja ei saa hävittää talousjätteenä. Ne voivat

sisältää myrkyllisiä raskasmetalleja, minkä vuoksi

ne kuuluvat ongelmajätekäsittelyyn. Raskasmetallien

kemialliset merkit ovat seuraavat: Cd = kadmium,

Hg = elohopea, Pb = lyijy. Toimita tästä syystä

vanhat paristot kunnalliseen keräyspisteeseen.

Takuu

Laite on valmistettu huolellisesti tiukkojen laatudirek-

tiivien mukaan ja tarkistettu huolella ennen toimitusta.

Jos tuote on virheellinen, sinulla on ostajana lakisää-

teiset oikeudet esittää vaatimuksia tuotteen myyjää

kohtaan. Seuraavassa esitetty takuu ei rajoita laki-

sääteisiä oikeuksiasi.

Laitteelle myönnetty takuu on voimassa 3 vuotta

ostopäivästä lukien. Takuun voimassaolo alkaa

tuotteen ostopäivästä. Säilytä aina alkuperäinen

kassakuitti. Se toimii todisteena tehdystä ostoksesta.

Jos 3 vuoden sisällä tuotteen ostopäivästä alkaen

tuotteesta löytyy materiaali- tai valmistusvirhe,

korjaamme tuotteen ilmaiseksi tai toimitamme tilalle

uuden tuotteen harkintamme mukaan. Takuu rau-

keaa, jos tuote on vioittunut asiattoman käytön tai

huollon vuoksi.

Takuu koskee materiaali- ja valmistusvirheitä. Takuu

ei kata tuotteen osia, jotka kuluvat normaalissa käy-

tössä ja siitä syystä pidetään kuluvina osina (esim.

paristot) tai vaurioita särkyvissä osissa esim. kytki-

messä, akuissa tai lasista valmistetuissa osissa.
