uct. These operating instructions are a component of this product. They

contain important information about the safety, operation and disposal

of the appliance. Before using the product familiarise yourself with all

of these operating and safety instructions. Use the appliance only as

described and for the given areas of application. Pass these instruc-

ears and and trim your eyebrows. This appliance is intended exclu-

sively for domestic use. It is not intended for commercial applications.

those mentioned in these operating instructions.

pressure. This will prevent the blades from becoming damaged.

Do not open the housing - there are no user-serviceable

elements inside.

abilities or deﬁ ciences in experience and/or knowledge

unless they are supervised by a person responsible for their

safety or receive from this person instruction in how the ap-

pliance is to be used.

Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not

play with the appliance.

Repairs should only be carried out by authorised specialist ►

companies or by the Customer Service Department. Incom-

petent repairs can result in signiﬁ cant risks for the user. In

addition, warranty claims become void.

Defective components may only be replaced with original

replacement parts. Only by using original replacement parts

can it be guaranteed that the safety requirements are being

complied with.

INTERACTION WITH BATTERIES

Do not throw batteries into a ﬁ re. Do not recharge batteries.

Never open batteries, never solder or weld batteries.

Regularly check the condition of the battery. A leaking

battery can cause damage to the appliance.

Remove the battery if you do not intend to use the appliance

for an extended period of time.

In the event of the batteries leaking acids, ﬁ rst put on a pair

of protective gloves. Then clean the battery compartment

and the battery contacts with a dry cloth.

Keep batteries well away from children. Children can put ►

batteries into their mouths and swallow them. If a battery is

swallowed, medical assistance must be sought immediately.

Disposal of the packaging

The packaging protects the appliance from transport damage. The

packaging materials are selected from the point of view of their en-

vironmental friendliness and disposal technology and are therefore

recyclable.

The recirculation of packaging into the material circuit

saves on raw material and reduces generated waste.

Dispose of packaging material that is no longer needed

according to the regionally established regulations.

NOTICE

If possible preserve the appliance's original packaging ►

during the warranty period so that in the case of a warranty

claim you can package the appliance properly for return.

Inserting the battery

To open the battery compartment 1) 5, turn the battery compartment

cover 6 so far against the direction of the arrow on the hand ele-

ment 4 that the spot on the battery compartment cover 6 lies

under the opened lock on the hand element 4

. You can

now take the battery compartment cover 6 oﬀ .

Insert a battery of the type AA/Mignon/LR06. Pay heed to the 2)

correct polarity (indicated in the battery compartment 5)!

Close the battery compartment 3) 5. To do this, place the battery

compartment cover 6 at an angle on the battery compartment 5,

so that the spot on the battery compartment cover 6 lies under

the opened lock on the hand element 4 . Turn the battery

compartment cover 6 until the spot lies under the closed lock on

the hand element

Using the appliance

Trimming nose hairs

Remove (if ﬁ tted) the comb attachment 1) 7/8 from the cutting

head 1.

Slide the on/oﬀ switch 2) 3 upwards.

WARNING - RISK OF INJURY

Do not insert the cutting head ► 1 too deeply!

NOTICE

Ensure that your nostrils are clean. ►

Guide the cutting head 3) 1 carefully into the nostril and slowly

turn the appliance so that all nose hair growth is removed.

Withdraw the cutting head 4) 1 out of the nostril whilst turning the

appliance.

Switch the appliance oﬀ by sliding the on/oﬀ switch 5) 3 downwards.

Trimming eyebrows

Aﬃ x the desired comb attachment (4 mm 1) 7 or 7 mm 8) to the

cutting head 1 so that it is ﬁ rmly seated.

Slide the on/oﬀ switch 2) 3 upwards.

To trim all of the hair of the eyebrow, move the comb attachment 3)

7/8 over the eyebrow and against the direction of hair growth.

To trim only individual hairs, move the comb attachment 4) 7/8

over the eyebrow and only against these individual hairs.

In order to trim hair to just above the skin surface, remove the 5)

comb attachment 7/8 and guide the cutting head 1 directly

over the skin in the desired areas.

Switch the appliance oﬀ by sliding the on/oﬀ switch 6) 3 downwards.

Trimming hairs in the ears

WARNING - RISK OF INJURY

Do not insert the cutting head

► 1 too deeply!

Remove (if ﬁ tted) the comb attachment 1) 7/8 from the cutting

head 1.

Guide the cutting head 2) 1 carefully into the ear.

Slide the on/oﬀ switch 3) 3 upwards.

Use circular motions so that all unwanted hair growth is removed.4)

Switch the appliance oﬀ by sliding the on/oﬀ switch 5) 3 downwards.

Cleaning and Care

WARNING - PROPERTY DAMAGE

NEVER submerse the appliance in water or other liquids! ►

NEVER hold the hand element ► 4 under running water!

Do not use sharp objects when cleaning the cutting head ► 1.

Do not use abrasive, aggressive or chemical cleaning

►

agents.

Clean the appliance after every use:

To remove hair from the cutting head

■ 1 and the comb attach-

ments 7/8, clean them with the cleaning brush 9.

Wipe the hand element

■ 4 with a moist cloth. For stubborn

soiling use a mild detergent on the cloth.

Clean the comb attachments

■ 7/8 under running water.

NOTICE

Do not use the appliance again until it has completely dried. ►

NOTICE

At regular intervals place a few drops of blade oil suitable ►

for razor appliances in the cutting head holder 2, at the

latest when the blades no longer run smoothly.

For this you need to remove the cutter head holder ► 2:

Turn the cutter head holder 1) 2 anti-clockwise through

approx. 45° to release and remove it.

To reattach it, place the cutter head holder 2) 2 at about

45° to the right onto the hand element 4 and so that it

grips into the rail on the hand element 4.

Turn the cutter head holder 3) 2 in a clockwise direction

to secure it.

Storage

Store the appliance at a clean and dust-free location. ■

Always place the protective cover ■ 0 on the cutter head 1 to

protect it.

If the appliance is not to be used for an extended period, remove

■

the battery so as to avoid battery leakage.

Disposal

Do not dispose of this appliance in your normal

domestic waste. This product is subject to the

provisions of European Directive 2002/96/EC.

Dispose of the appliance through an approved disposal centre or at your

community waste facility. Observe the currently applicable regulations.

In case of doubt, please contact your waste disposal centre.

Disposal of batteries

Used batteries may not be disposed of in household waste. Every

consumer is statutorily obliged to dispose of batteries at a collection

site of his community/city district or at a retail store. The purpose of this

obligation is to ensure that batteries are disposed of in a non-polluting

manner. Only dispose of batteries when they are fully discharged.

This appliance complies with the fundamental require-

ments and other relevant regulations of the EMC Direc-

tive 2004/108/EC. The complete original declaration

Warranty

Dear customer,

You receive a 3-year warranty for this appliance as of the purchase

date. In cases of defects with this product, statutory rights are avail-

able to you against the seller of the product. These statutory rights

are not restricted in any way by our warranty, which is detailed in

the following.

Warranty Provisions

The warranty period begins on the date of purchase. Please retain

your receipt as proof of purchase. This document is required as the

proof of purchase. Should a material or manufacturing defect occur

within three years from the date of purchase of this product, the prod-

uct will - at our option - be repaired or replaced free of charge by us.

This warranty beneﬁ t requires that, within the three-year period, the de-

fective product and the proof of purchase (receipt) are presented and

the defect is brieﬂ y described in writing, in particular what it is and

when it occurred. Should the defect be covered by our warranty, we

will return the product either repaired or as a new replacement. A

new warranty period does not begin with the repair or replacement

of the product.

Warranty period and statutory defect claims

The warranty period is not extended by repairs eﬀ ected under war-

ranty. This applies also to replaced and repaired parts. Damages or

defects discovered after purchase are to be reported directly after

unpacking, at the latest two days after the purchase date. Repairs

carried out after lapse of the warranty period are subject to charge.

Warranty Coverage

The appliance was carefully produced according to strict quality

guidelines and thoroughly checked before delivery. The warranty

provisions apply to material or manufacturing defects. This warranty

does not extend to product components exposed to normal wear

and tear, and which can therefore be regarded as wearing parts, or

for damage to fragile parts such as switches, batteries, or parts that

are made of glass. A warranty liability will not be triggered for minor

deviations from the reference characteristics that are irrelevant to

the value and usability of the product, or for damage caused by the

chemical and electrochemical eﬀ ects of water, as well as in general

from abnormal environmental conditions or extraneous operating

conditions or when the product has otherwise come into contact with

inappropriate materials.

This warranty lapses if the product is damaged or has not been

appropriately used or maintained. To qualify as appropriate use of

the product, all directives listed in the operating instructions are to be

strictly observed. Utilisations and activities that are advised against

or warned against in the operating instructions are to be implicitly

avoided.

This product is for domestic use only and is not intended for commer-

cial applications. In the event of misuse and improper handling, use

of force and interference not carried out by our authorised service

branch, the warranty will become void.

PARISTOJEN KÄSITTELY

Älä heitä paristoja tuleen. Älä lataa paristoja uudelleen.

Älä koskaan avaa paristoja, äläkä koskaan juota tai hitsaa

paristoja. On olemassa räjähdyksen ja loukkaantumisen

vaara!

Tarkasta paristot säännöllisesti. Vuotavat paristot saattavat ►

aiheuttaa laitevaurioita.

Poista paristo kotelosta, mikäli laitetta ei käytetä pitkään ►

aikaan.

Käytä suojakäsineitä paristojen vuotaessa. Puhdista paris-

►

tokotelo ja paristoliitännät kuivalla liinalla.

Paristot eivät saa päätyä lasten käsiin. Lapset saattavat

►

pistää paristot suuhunsa ja niellä ne. Jos paristo on joutunut

nieluun, on hakeuduttava välittömästi lääkärin hoitoon.

Pakkauksen hävittäminen

Pakkaus suojaa laitetta kuljetusvaurioilta.

Pakkausmateriaalien valinnassa on otettu huomioon ympäristönsuoje-

lua ja hävittämistä koskevat seikat, mistä johtuen ne voi kierrättää.

Pakkauksen voi palauttaa takaisin materiaalikiertoon ja

samalla säästää raaka-aineita ja pienentää jätemäärää.

Käytöstä poistetut pakkausmateriaalit tulee hävittää

voimassa olevien paikallisten määräysten mukaisesti.

Mikäli mahdollista, säilytä alkuperäinen pakkaus laitteen koko ►

takuuajan, jotta laitteen voi pakata mahdollisessa takuutapa-

uksessa asianmukaisella tavalla.

Pariston asettaminen laitteeseen

Kun paristokotelo 1) 5 halutaan avata, paristokotelon kantta 6

käännetään käsilaitteen 4 nuolen suuntaisesti, kunnes paristo-

kotelon kannessa 6 oleva piste sijaitsee käsilaitteen 4 avoimen

lukon alla

. Paristokotelon kannen 6 voi nyt nostaa paikoil-

taan.

Aseta tyypin AA/Mignon/LR06 paristo paikoilleen. Varmista 2)

oikea polariteetti (ks. paristokotelossa 5 oleva merkintä)!

Sulje paristokotelo 3) 5. Aseta paristokotelon kansi 6 viistosti

paristokotelon 5 päälle siten, että paristokotelon kannessa 6

oleva piste sijaitsee käsilaitteen 4 avoimen lukon alla

Käännä paristokotelon kantta 6 niin paljon, että piste sijaitsee

suljetun lukon alla
