1 Allgemeine Informationen

Bitte lesen Sie die Gebrauchsanleitung vor der ersten Verwendung sorgfältig durch!

Nach Erkenntnissen der modernen Arbeitsmedizin sind Menschen in Pflegeberufen arbeitsbedingt stark körperlich

belastet. Oft kommt es zu Rückenschäden. Es gibt viele Situationen, in denen ein Patient von einem Bett, einer

Transportliege, einer Ambulanzliege, einem Röntgentisch oder einem Rollstuhl auf eine andere Liege- oder

Sitzfläche umgelagert werden muss. Durch den Einsatz von Transferhilfen, kann die Belastung des Anwenders und

des Patienten entscheidend reduziert werden.

Der Einsatz der Transferhilfen sollte unter der Voraussetzung erfolgen, dass der Anwender den Umgang mit ihnen

erlernt hat. Der Anwender muss selbstständig entscheiden, welches Hilfsmittel der Situation des Patienten und dem

beabsichtigten Bewegungsablauf gerecht wird.

Röntgenraupen sind das ideale Hilfsmittel für den sicheren und schonenden Umgang mit der Röntgenkassette am

Patienten. Das innovative Prinzip der in sich rotierenden Petermann Röntgenraupe, bei dem die Röntgenraupe

einfach unter dem Patienten eingeschoben wird, stellt einen großen Fortschritt in der Anwendung von

Röntgenkassetten am Patienten dar. Um den strengen hygienischen Anforderungen gerecht zu werden, kann die

Petermann Röntgenraupe problemlos wischdesinfiziert werden. Röntgenraupensets beinhalten zudem Einweg-

Schutzfolien für die Röntgenkassette, um einen sicheren und effizienten Arbeitsablauf zu gewährleisten.

Die Hinweise in dieser Gebrauchsanleitung beziehen sich auf den Patient, der geröntgt wird sowie auf den

Anwender, der den Röntgenvorgang vornimmt.

Das Produkt darf nur zu angegebenen Zweck und Bedingungen genutzt werden.

1.6 Nutzungsdauer / Lebenszyklus

Wird das Produkt gemäß den Sicherheitsvorschriften verwendet, beträgt die zu erwartende Produktlebensdauer

zwei Jahre bzw. 1000 Anwendungen. Die effektive Lebensdauer kann jedoch, abhängig von der Häufigkeit und

Intensität des Gebrauchs, der Anzahl der Reinigungs- und Desinfektionsvorgänge, variieren.

Führen Sie regelmäßig eine Funktionskontrolle mit dem Produkt durch und beachten Sie unbedingt die

Sicherheitshinweise (siehe Punkt 2).

2 Sicherheitshinweise

WARNUNG kennzeichnet eine mögliche Gefährdung, die zu Personen- oder Sachschäden

führen könnte.

➢ Es liegt in der Verantwortung der Einrichtung / des Anwenders anhand der Gegebenheiten (Gewicht

/ Gesundheitszustand des Patienten) und des Leistungsvermögens des Anwenders, zu beurteilen, ob

ggf. mehrere Anwender für die Anwendung notwendig sind oder zusätzliche Sicherungsmaßnahmen

getroffen werden müssen.

➢ Defekte Produkte dürfen nicht mehr verwendet werden.

➢ Achten Sie darauf, dass die Anwendung rückengerecht von den Anwendern ausgeführt werden.

➢ Gewichtsbegrenzungen sind einzuhalten (200 kg).

➢ Lassen Sie den Patienten nie unbeaufsichtigt auf der Röntgenraupe liegen. Achten Sie hier auf die

sichere Position des Patienten!

➢ Die Schutzfolie nach jedem Transfer unbedingt entfernen.

➢ Die Schutzfolie darf nicht wiederaufbereitet werden. Eine Wiederaufbereitung der Folie kann zu

Materialschäden und damit zu Gesundheitsschäden bei Patienten führen.

➢ Spreizer (Zubehör für Reinigungs- und Desinfektionsvorgang) nach Reinigung / Desinfektion

verwenden, um Trocknung zu gewährleisten.

3 Produktanwendung

3.1 Indikation und Wiedereinsatz

Die Indikationen können aufgrund der großen Einsatzmöglichkeiten an keinem bestimmten Krankheitsbild

festgemacht werden, da die Röntgenraupen für alle Anwendungen von Röntgenkassetten am Patienten verwendet

werden können. Das Produkt wird für folgende Einsatzbereiche verwendet:

➢ Leichtes rückenergonomisches Einlegen von Röntgenkassetten unter bewegungseingeschränkten

Patienten.

➢ Gelenk- und gewebeschonendes Einlegen der Röntgenkassetten bei sedierten Patienten.

➢ Gelenk- und gewebeschonendes Einlegen der Röntgenkassetten bei komatösen Patienten.

➢ Gelenk- und gewebeschonendes Einlegen der Röntgenkassetten bei Schmerzpatienten.

➢ Reduzierung der Luxationsgefahr => Patient muss nicht gehoben werden

Das Produkt Röntgenraupe ist für den Wiedereinsatz geeignet.

Röntgenraupen sind für den Wiedereinsatz vorgesehen. Es handelt sich nicht um Einwegprodukte.

Die zugehörige Schutzfolie ist ein Einwegprodukt und darf nicht wiederaufbereitet werden. Eine Wiederaufbereitung

der Folie kann zu Materialschäden und damit zu Gesundheitsschäden bei Patienten führen.

Führen Sie vor dem Wiedereinsatz unbedingt eine gründliche Funktionskontrolle (siehe Punkt 2.2) sowie eine

Reinigung bzw. Desinfektion des Produktes durch. (siehe Punkt 5)

3.2 Kontraindikation

Kontraindikationen können an keinem bestimmten Krankheitsbild festgemacht werden. Unter Berücksichtigung der

Sicherheitshinweise (Punkt 2.), darf bei folgenden Patienten das Produkt nicht angewandt werden:

➢ Patienten, die nicht liegend geröntgt werden können

Das Produkt kann in Krankenhäusern und anderen medizinischen Einrichtungen des Gesundheitswesens mit

➢ Röntgenraupe soweit wie möglich unter den Patienten schieben, ohne zu stopfen bzw. ihn

anzuheben.

➢ Auf strammes Spannbetttuch achten

➢ Bewegungsfreiheit der Röntgenraupe kontrollieren => Beide Hände flach in die Öffnung der

Röntgenraupe stecken und ein kleines Stück nach vorne schieben.

➢ Schutzfolie aus dem Spenderkarton nehmen.

➢ Schutzfolie über Röntgenkassette ziehen.

➢ Die Schutzfolie hat eine Überlänge, die nicht eingeschlagen werden darf => Röntgenkassette kann

damit nach der Aufnahme mit beiden Händen aus der Röntgenraupe herausgezogen werden.

➢ Röntgenkassette in die Röntgenraupe schieben => bis Widerstand der Naht spürbar wird.

➢ Die offene Seite des Folienbeutels zeigt zum Anwender.

➢ Der Einschubwinkel der Röntgenkassette erfolgt innerhalb der Röntgenraupe leicht schräg in die

Matratze.

➢ Röntgenkassette unter den Patienten schieben => bis benötigte Position erreicht wird.

➢ Je nach Bettuntergrund den Einschubwinkel variieren!

Materialverwaltungslogistik einer Einrichtung ein. Die Schutzfolie umhüllt die Röntgenkassette

und schützt diese vor jeglicher Verschmutzung.

- Die Schutzfolie ist ein Einwegprodukt und darf immer nur an einer Person verwendet werden. Die

Schutzfolie ist nicht zur Aufbereitung oder für den Wiedereinsatz bestimmt und darf nicht

gewaschen oder behandelt werden.

1 General Information

Thank you for choosing a Petermann product.

Please read the user manual carefully before using the product for the first time!

The current understanding in modern occupational health and safety is that people in nursing professions

experience significant work-related physical strain. Back injuries are common. There are many situations in which a

patient has to be transferred from a bed, a wheeled stretcher, ambulance stretcher, an X-Ray table or a wheelchair

to a different stretcher or seat. The strain on the user and the patient / care-dependent can be reduced significantly

through the use of sliding mats.

The use of transfer aids should be conditional upon the user having learned to use the equipment properly. The

user has to decide for themselves what equipment is suitable to the patient's situation and the intended sequence

of movements.

X-Ray Cassette Placers are the perfect aid for safe and gentle handling of X-ray cassettes on the patient. The

innovative principle of the rotating Petermann X-Ray Cassette Placer, where the X-Ray Cassette Placer is simply slid

under the patient, is a significant improvement in the use of X-ray cassettes on patients. In order to meet the strict

hygiene requirements, the Petermann X-Ray Cassette Placer can easily be wipe disinfected. X-Ray Cassette Placer

sets also include a disposable Protection Foil for the X-ray cassette to facilitate a safe and efficient workflow.

The product may only be used for the specified purpose and under the specified conditions.

The information in this user manual is for the patient who is being transferred and moved, as well as the user

performing the transfer / position change.

1.5 Service life / lifecycle

If the product is used in accordance with the safety instructions, then the expected service life is about two years

or respectively 1000 uses. However, the effective service life may vary depending on the frequency and intensity

of use and the number of cleaning and disinfection cycles.

Perform regular function checks on the product and be sure to observe the safety information (see item 2).

2 Safety information

WARNING indicates a potential danger which could lead to personal injury or material damage.

➢ It is the responsibility of the organisation / the user to determine, on the basis of the circumstances

(weight / health condition of the patient) and the capabilities of the user, whether several users may

be required for the use and/or whether additional safety measures are required.

➢ Defective products may no longer be used.

➢ Ensure that the uses are performed by the users in a back-friendly manner.

➢ Weight limits must be observed (200 kg).

➢ Never leave the patient lying on the X-Ray Cassette Placer unattended. Ensure that the patient is in a

safe position!

➢ Be sure to remove the Protection Foil after every transfer.

➢ The Protection Foil must not be reprocessed. Reprocessing of the foil can lead to material damage

and thus result in harm to the patient.

➢ Use the spreader (accessory for the cleaning and disinfection process) after cleaning / disinfection to

ensure proper drying.

3 Using the product

3.1 Indication and further use

Due to the wide range of possible applications, the indications cannot be tied to a specific clinical picture, since the

X-Ray Cassette Placers are suitable for all applications of X-ray cassettes on patients. The product is used for:

➢ Simple, back-safe placement of X-ray cassettes under patients with limited mobility.

The product X-Ray Cassette Placer may be reused.

X-Ray Cassette Placers are intended for reuse. It is not a single use product. The associated Protection Foil is a single

use product and must not be reprocessed. Reprocessing the Protection Foil can lead to material damage and thus

to damage to health of the patient

Before reusing the product, be sure to perform a thorough function check (see item 2.2) as well as cleaning or

disinfection of the product. (see item 5)

3.2 Contraindications

Contraindications cannot be tied to a specific clinical picture. Under consideration of the safety information (item

2), the product may not be used if the patient has any of the following conditions:

➢ Patients who cannot be X-rayed lying down

➢ Incorrect technique → high effort despite aids

3.4 Areas of application

The product can be used in hospitals and other health care facilities which are using X-ray machines.

➢ Ensure that the pad is wrinkle-free.

➢ Position the X-Ray Cassette Placer according to the required image section.

➢ Push the X-Ray Cassette Placer as far as possible under the patient, without cramming or lifting the

patient.

➢ Ensure that the fitted sheet is tight.

➢ Check that the X-Ray Cassette Placer can move freely => Place both hands flat into the opening of

the X-Ray Cassette Placer and push forward a little bit.

➢ Remove the Protection Foil from the dispenser box.

➢ Pull the Protection Foil over the X-ray cassette.

➢ The Protection Foil has excess length which must not be folded under => This can be used after

imaging to pull the X-ray cassette out of the X-Ray Cassette Placer with both hands.

➢ Push the X-ray cassette into X-Ray Cassette Placer => until the resistance of the seam can be felt.

➢ The open side of the foil pouch faces the user.

➢ The X-ray cassette is placed into the X-Ray Cassette Placer at a slight angle relative to the mattress.

➢ Push the X-ray cassette under the patient => until the required position is reached.

➢ Adjust the angle according to the underlying bed material!

➢ After imaging => Pull the X-ray cassette out of the X-Ray Cassette Placer using the Protection Foil.

- The Protection Foil for the X-ray cassette is particularly well suited to rapid and particularly

hygienic transfer use with the X-Ray Cassette Placer and integrates seamlessly into the material

administration logistics of a facility. The Protection Foil encloses the X-ray cassette and protects

it against any contamination.

- The Protection Foil is a disposable product and may only be used for one person. The

Protection Foil is not intended for processing or reuse and may not be washed or treated.
