Intended Use
This appliance is intended for decorative purposes
in domestic households and only for use in dry
rooms.
This appliance is not intended for illumination purposes,
for commercial or industrial applications or for use
outdoors.
Important safety
instructions
To avoid life-threatening electric shocks:
• Ensure that a bulb is in every bulb holder when
the plug is connected to a wall socket. Touching
exposed contacts in the bulb holder can be po-
tentially fatal.
• Ensure that neither the appliance itself, the power
cable nor the plug come into contact with water
or other liquids.
• Use the appliance only in dry rooms, not outdoors.
• When in use, ensure that the power cable cannot
become jammed/trapped or damaged in any
way. Should the power plug and/or cable become
damaged, arrange for it/them to be replaced
by our Customer Service Department before re-
using the appliance.
• Immediately remove the plug from the wall socket if
the appliance fails to function correctly, falls to
the floor or is visibly damaged - and especially if
the glass of a bulb is broken. Then arrange for
the appliance to be checked and/or repaired by
Customer Services.
• After use or during extended absences, ALWAYS
remove the plug from the power socket. Switching
off the appliance is not sufficient because it conti-
nues to be under power for as long as the power
plug is connected to the wall socket.
• Ensure that the plug is at all times easily accessible
so that it may be swiftly removed in the event of
danger.
To avoid the risks of fire:
• Do not connect the appliance to a wall socket
should it still be in its packaging. This would lead
to a build-up of heat.
• Use only spare bulbs that correspond to the details
given in the technical data. Using more powerful
bulbs, or those with different wattages, could
lead to the other bulbs becoming too hot or to
an overload of the power cable.
• Replace non-functional bulbs as soon as possi-
ble! Due to the automatic shunting of failed bulbs
the electrical energy distributes itself amongst the
remaining bulbs, causing them to glow more
brightly. On the one side this also shortens their
service life, on the other, the bulbs will become
hotter.
• DO NOT place the appliance under inflammable
objects, especially not under straw stars, paper,
curtains or drapes.
To avoid the risk of accidents and
personal injuries:
• Position the power cable in such a way that the
appliance cannot inadvertently be pulled down
by it.
• Do not permit children or infirm people to come
into close contact with electrical appliances without
supervision, they are not always able to correctly
assess the potential dangers of them.
• Keep children under 3 years of age away from
the appliance. They could swallow small parts
from the decoration!

Utilisation
• Check to ensure that the appliance is undamaged
and all parts and remnants of the packaging are
removed from it.
• Check to ensure that every bulb holder

• Place the appliance on a level surface from
which it cannot fall down.
• Completely unwind the power cable and place
it such that no one can trip over it and pull the
appliance down.

• Switch the appliance on or off using the power
switch

Changing bulbs
• First remove the plug from the wall socket. Switching
off the appliance is not sufficient because it conti-
nues to be under power for as long as the power
plug is connected to the wall socket.
• After immediate use, first allow the bulb to cool
down.
• Always screw bulbs in and out of the bulb holder
with your fingers, never use pliers or similar tools.
If you do, the bulb glass could splinter.
• Use the supplied spare bulb

or others that
meet the specifications given in the technical
data. Using more powerful bulbs, or those with
different wattages, could lead to the other bulbs
becoming too hot or to an overload of the power
cable.
• Screw the replacement bulb into the bulb holder
w
until it is firmly seated. To avoid damage to
the bulb itself, do not use excessive force.
Caution: Should the glass body of a lamp
detach itself or the glass has broken:
• Immediately remove the plug from the wall socket!
There is a risk to life if the protruding filaments
are touched.
• Carefully attempt to unscrew the remains of the
bulb from the bulb holder with long-nosed pliers,
under no circumstances should you use your un-
protected fingers. There is a risk of injury through
broken glass.
• Make contact with Customer Services if you do
not feel confident about it or were not successful
in your attempt.

Cleaning
Caution! Disconnect the power plug from the
power socket. Failure to do so brings with it the
risk of a fatal electric shock should you come
into contact with electrical parts or moisture
permeates the appliance. After immediate use,
first allow the bulb to cool down.
Attention Do not remove the bulbs to clean
the appliance. Cleaning is not required on the
insides of the bulb holders. Should soiling be
present in the area of the electrical contacts its
removal, due to the associated dangers, may
only be carried out by Customer Services.
• Carefully pull the decoration

upwards and
remove it.
• You can now clean the appliance, using only a
dry or lightly moistened cloth. To avoid potential
damage to the painted and plastic surfaces, do
not use any cleaning agents.
• To conclude, carefully replace the decoration.
Maintenance
The appliance is maintenance-free, no effort is required
on the part of the user.
• Never open the components of the appliance –
there are no user-serviceable elements contained
inside.
• Before taking it into use, always check the app-
liance for visible exterior damage.
Disposal
Do not dispose of the device in normal do-
mestic waste.
Dispose of the device over a registered waste dispo-
sal firm or through your communal waste disposal
facility.
Observe the currently valid regulations. In case of
doubt, consult your waste disposal facility.
Dispose of the packaging materials in an
environmentally responsible manner.

Usage conforme
Cet objet est prévu pour la décoration en intérieur,
dans la maison ou l'apparement, dans des endroits
à l'abri de l'humidité.
Cet objet n'est pas prévu pour assurer un éclairage,
ni pour être installé dans des locaux industiels ou
similaires ni pour être installé en extérieur.
Consignes de sécurité
importantes
Afin d'éviter un accident grave par
électrocution :
• Vérifier la présence d'une ampoule dans chaque
douille dès lors que le connecteur est branché
sur une prise. Le contact accidentel avec un picot
dans la douille peut être à l'origine d'un accident
mortel.
• S'assurer qu'il n'y a aucun risque de contact de
la prise, du cordon d'alimentation ou de l'appareil
avec l'eau ou d'autres fluides.
• Utiliser l'appareil exclusivement dans des locaux
secs, surtout pas en extérieur.
• Veillez à ce que le cordon d'alimentation ne soit
pas coincé ou endommagé par des arêtes tran-
chantes. Si le cordon d'alimentation ou le con-
necteur était endommagé, faire remplacer la ou
les pièces concernées par le service après-vente
avant de réutiliser l'appareil.
• Débrancher immédiatement si l'appareil est mani-
festement endommagé ou si son fonctionnement
est anormal – notamment si le verre d'une ampoule
est brisé. Faire contrôler sans délai l'appareil par
le service après-vente.
• Toujours débrancher l'appareil après utilisation
ou en cas d'absence. Il ne suffit pas d'éteindre
l'appareil, en raison de la présence de tension
électrique dans l'appareil si celui-ci reste branché.
• S'assurer que le connecteur est toujours accessible
pour débrancher rapidement en cas de danger.
Afin d'éviter des risques d'incendie :
• Ne pas raccorder l'appareil à la prise tant qu'il
est encore dans son emballage. Sinon risque de
surchauffe.
• Toujours mettre des ampoules de rechange con-
formes aux caractéristiques spécifiées. Des am-
poules aux caractéristiques fonctionnelles diffé-
rentes (puissance plus élevée) peuvent induire un
échauffement excessif des autres ampoules et
dans le cordon d'alimentation.
• Remplacer sans délai une ampoule hors service !
Du fait de la mise hors circuit automatique des
ampoules en défaut, l'énergie électrique est distri-
buée sur le reste des ampoules dont l'intensité
d'allumage est alors plus intense. Cette situation
abrège d'une part la durée de vie des ampoules,
d'autre part celles-ci deviennent plus chaudes.
• Ne pas disposer l'appareil sous des objets in-
flammables, notamment sous des étoiles de paille,
des papiers, des rideaux ou des tentures.
Pour éviter les risques d'accident et de
blessures :
• Installer le cordon d'alimentation en prenant garde
aux risques de chute si le cordon est tiré par in-
advertance.
• Ne pas laisser des enfants ou des personnes fra-
gilisées sans surveillance à proximité d'appareils
électriques (inconscience des risques potentiels).
• Tenir éloignés de l'appareil des enfants de moins
de 3 ans : prendre garde aux risques d'avale-
ment de pièces de petit format !

• Enficher le connecteur dans la prise secteur.
• Mettre sous tension l'appareil, puis le mettre hors
tension avec l'interrupteur

Remplacement d'ampoule
• Débrancher d'abord le connecteur de la prise. Il
ne suffit pas d'éteindre l'appareil, en effet il y a
présence de tension électrique tant que celui-ci
reste branché.
• Laisser refroidir les ampoules.
• Tourner à la main les ampoules pour les sortir de
la douille, ne jamais utiliser de pince ou d'outil
quelqu'il soit. (sinon risque de bris du verre des
ampoules).
• Utiliser l'ampoule de rechange
r
fournie ou une
ampoule conforme aux caractéristiques spécifiées.
Des ampoules aux caractéristiques fonctionnelles
différentes (puissance plus élevée) peuvent induire
un échauffement excessif des autres ampoules et
dans le cordon d'alimentation.
• Tourner la nouvelle ampoule dans la douille
w
ju-
squ'à ce qu'elle soit bien fixée. Ne pas forcer en vis-
sant l'ampoule : risque de détachement du verre.
Prudence : si le verre d'une ampoule s'est
détaché ou s'est brisé :
• Retirer immédiatement le connecteur de la prise !
Un contact par inadvertance avec un filament
peut être à l'origine d'un accident mortel.
• Essayer de retirer le reste de l'ampoule en la tour-
nant à l'aide d'une pince, ne pas essayer avec
les doigts sans protection. (risque de blessure
par des bouts de verre).
• S'adresser au service après-vente si vous hésitez
à faire l'opération vous même ou pour toute autre
raison.

Nettoyage
Attention ! Retirez tout d'abord le connecteur
de la prise secteur. Il y a en effet risque d'acci-
dent mortel par électrocution en nettoyant avec
un objet humide des pièces sous tension électri-
que. Laisser refroidir les ampoules si l'appareil
vient d'être utilisé.
Attention ! Ne pas dévisser les ampoules
hors des douilles pour le nettoyage. L'intérieur
des douilles ne nécessite aucun nettoyage. Si
des dépôts de salissures se sont formés à proxi-
mité des contacts électriques, s'adresser au ser-
vice après-vente pour les enlever.
• Retirer la décoration vers le haut, en procédant
avec soin.
• On peut maintenant procéder au nettoyage de
l'appareil avec un chiffon sec ou légèrement hu-
mide. Ne pas utiliser de produit de nettoyage
pour ne pas risquer d'endommager la peinture
ou les pièces en plastique.
• Le nettoyage terminé, remettre en place la déco-
ration.
Entretien
Cet article est sans entretien, aucune opération d'en-
tretien particulière n'est à prévoir par l'utilisateur.
Ne jamais ouvrir – il ne contient aucun élément de
commande.
• Vérifier avant chaque utilisation l'absence de
dommage manifeste sur l'appareil.
Mise au rebut
Surtout ne jetez pas l'appareil dans les or
dures ménagères.
Eliminez l'appareil par l'intermédiaire d'une entreprise
de traitement des déchets autorisée ou via le service
de recyclage de votre commune. Veuillez respecter
les règlements actuellement en vigueur. En cas de

Gebruik in overeenstem-
ming met bestemming
Dit apparaat is voorgezien voor decoratieve doel-
einden in het particuliere huishouden en alleen voor
de toepassing in droge ruimtes.
Dit apparaat is niet bedoeld voor verlichtingsdoel-
einden, niet om bedrijfsmatig en industrieel ingezet
te worden en niet voor gebruik in de openlucht.
Belangrijke veilig-
heidsvoorschriften
Voorkom levensgevaar van een elektri-
sche schok:
• Controleer of zich in iedere fitting een lamp
bevindt, zo lang de stekker in het stopcontact is.
Het aanraken van contacten die blootliggen in
de fitting kan levensgevaarlijk zijn.
• Verzekert u zich er van dat het apparaat, het snoer
en de stekker nooit in aanraking kunnen komen
met water of andere vloeistoffen.
• Gebruik het apparaat alleen in droge ruimtes,
niet in de openlucht.
• Let u erop dat tijdens het gebruik het snoer niet
beklemd kan raken of op andere wijze bescha-
digd. Mocht het netsnoer of de stekker zijn be-
schadigd, laat die dan door de klantendienst
vervangen voordat u het apparaat weer gaat
gebruiken
• Haalt u onmiddellijk de stekker uit het stopcontact
als het apparaat niet meer correct functioneert of
zichtbaar beschadigd is - vooral als het glas van
de lampjes gesprongen is. Laat u het apparaat
dan eerst door de klantendienst controleren.
• Trek na het gebruik of in geval van afwezigheid
altijd de stekker uit het stopcontact. Alleen uit-
schakelen is niet genoeg, omdat het apparaat
onder spanning blijft staan zolang de stekker in
het stopcontact zit.
• Zorg ervoor, dat de stekker altijd bereikbaar is,
teneinde deze bij gevaar snel uit het stopcontact
te kunnen halen.
Om brandgevaar te voorkomen:
• Sluit het apparaat niet aan op het stopcontact,
zo lang het zich nog in de verpakking bevindt.
Anders kan het tot oververhitting komen.
• Gebruik als vervanging alleen lampjes zoals
opgegeven in de technische gegevens. Sterkere
lampjes of lampjes met een afwijkende wattage
kunnen oververhit raken tijdens het gebruik, of de
overige lampjes oververhitten, of het snoer over-
belasten.
• Vervang uitgevallen lampjes direct! Door de
automatische overbrugging van de uitgevallen
lampjes wordt de elektrische energie verdeeld
over de overige lampjes, die zodoende steeds
meer licht gaan geven. Enerzijds verkort dit zo-
doende hun levensduur en anderzijds worden
de overige lampjes hierdoor heter.
• Plaatst u het apparaat niet onder brandbare
voorwerpen, vooral niet onder sterretjes van stro,
onder papier, gordijnen of doeken.
Om risico van ongevallen en letselgevaar
te vermijden:
• Plaats het snoer zodanig, dat het apparaat er
niet per ongeluk aan naar beneden kan worden
getrokken.
• Laat kinderen en gehandicapten niet zonder toe-
zicht met het elektrische apparatuur omgaan,
omdat zij mogelijke gevaren niet altijd juist kun-
nen inschatten.
• Houd kinderen onder de leeftijd van 3 jaar uit
de buurt van het apparaat. Kleine delen van de
decoratie kunnen ingeslikt worden!

• Schakel het apparaat met de aan/uit-knop

Lampje verwisselen
• Haal eerst de stekker uit het stopcontact. Alleen
uitschakelen is niet genoeg, omdat het apparaat
onder spanning blijft staan zolang de stekker in
het stopcontact zit.
• Laat u in geval van voorafgaand gebruik, de
lampjes eerst afkoelen.
• Draai lampjes alleen met de vingers uit de fitting
en nooit met een tang of ander gereedschap.
Anders kan het glas van de lampjes barsten.
• Gebruik de meegeleverde reservelamp
r
of zulke
lampjes als opgegeven in de technische gegevens.
Sterkere lampjes of lampjes met een afwijkende
wattage kunnen oververhit raken tijdens het ge-
bruik, of de overige lampjes oververhitten, of het
snoer overbelasten.
• Draai het nieuwe lampje in de fitting
w
, totdat
deze vastzit. Nooit de lamp met geweld te ver
doordraaien om loslaten van het glas te vermijden.
Voorzichtig: Als bij een lampje het glas
losgelaten heeft of gebarsten is:
• Haalt u onmiddellijk de stekker uit het stopcontact!
Er bestaat levensgevaar als u de uitstekende
draadjes aanraakt.
• Probeer voorzichtig resten van de lamp met een
spitse tang uit de fitting te draaien, in geen geval
met onbeschermde vingers. Er bestaat letselgevaar
door achtergebleven glassplinters.
• Wendt u zich tot de klantendienst als u er niet
zeker van bent of als het u niet is gelukt.

• Controleer het apparaat op beschadiging en
stelt u zeker dat alle delen en resten van de
verpakking van het product zijn verwijderd.
• Controleer dat er in iedere fitting

voor het transport eruit is geschroefd. Draai dit
dan eerst in de fitting

• Plaats het apparaat op een vlakke ondergrond,
zodat het niet kan omvallen.
• Wikkel het snoer helemaal af zodat niemand
erover kan struikelen en het apparaat zodoende
naar beneden kan trekken.
• Steek de stekker in het stopcontact.

Reinigen
Voorzichtig! Haalt u eerst de stekker uit het
stopcontact. Anders kan er sprake zijn van levens-
gevaar door stroomschokken, als u bij het reinigen
elektrische delen aanraakt of als er vocht bin-
nendringt. Laat u in geval van voorafgaand
gebruik, de lampjes eerst afkoelen.
Let op Draai om te reinigen geen lampjes uit
de fittingen. Binnen in de fittingen zijn geen rei-
nigende werkzaamheden noodzakelijk. Indien
er vervuiling in het bereik van de elektrische
contacten verwijderd dient te worden, mag dit
wegens de ermee gepaard gaande gevaren
aleen door de klantendienst worden gedaan.

wyłączenie urządzenia nie wystarczy, gdyż jest
ono nadal podłączone do napięcia sieci, dopóki
wtyczka sieciowa znajduje się w gniazdku.
• Odczekaj do ostygnięcia żarówek.
• Żarówki wykręcaj z oprawy zawsze palcami,
nigdy kombinerkami ani innym narzędziem.
Mogłoby to spowodować pęknięcie bańki
żarówki.
• Skorzystaj z dołączonej żarówki zapasowej

lub z innej żarówki zapasowej o takich samych

Czyszczenie

Wyciągnąć najpierw wtyczkę
sieciową z gniazdka sieciowego. W innym
wypadku groziłoby niebezpieczeństwo
porażenia prądem elektrycznym, jeśli podczas
czyszczenia zdarzyłoby się dotknąć elementów
elektrycznych lub na skutek przedostania się
wilgoci do środka. Najpierw odczekaj do
ostygnięcia żarówek.

a többi lámpa emiatt forróbb lesz.
• Ne helyezze el a készüléket éghető tárgy alá,
különösen ne szalmacsillag, papír, függöny
vagy kárpit alá.

Lámpacsere
• Először húzza ki a csatlakozót a dugaszoló alj-
zatból. A kikapcsolás magában nem elegendő,
mert a készülék mindaddig hálózati feszültség
alatt van, amíg a dugasz be van dugva a csatla-
kozó aljzatba.
• Ha előtte használta a készüléket, akkor előbb
hagyja lehűlni a lámpákat.
• A lámpákat mindig csak ujjaival csavarja ki a
foglalatból, sohasem fogóval vagy más szer-
számmal. Ellenkező esetben eltörhet a lámpák
üvegburája.
• Használja fel a készülékkel szállított pótlámpát

, vagy olyat, ami a műszaki adatokban van
megadva. Az erősebb vagy eltérő teljesítményű
lámpa alkalmazásának következményeként ez
vagy a többi lámpa használat közben felforró-
sodik, vagy túlterheli a hálózati kábelt.

Életveszély áll fenn, ha megérinti a kilógó huza-

• Kísérelje meg a lámpa maradványait csípőfogó-
val kicsavarni a foglalatból, semmiképpen sem
azonban puszta kézzel. A maradék üvegszilánkok
miatt megsérülhet.
• Forduljon a vevőszolgálathoz, ha nem biztos
