USE
Before use
Before using for the rst time, or if the kettle has
not been used for a long time, ll the kettle to
the MAX. marking and boil. Pour out the water
and repeat. Wipe the kettle with a damp cloth.
Use
1. Place the kettle on a stable, level surface.
2. Lift the kettle from the base.
3. Press the button to open the lid, ll with
the amount of water required and close
the lid. The water level must be between
the MAX. and MIN. markings. If there is
too little water in the kettle the appliance
switches o before the water boils.
4. Place the kettle on the base.
5. Plug in the plug.
6. Press the power switch. The indicator light
comes on and the kettle boils the water.
The kettle switches o automatically when
the water boils. Wait at least 30 seconds
before starting the kettle again.
7. Lift the kettle from the base and pour
out the water. The kettle switches o
automatically when lifted from the base.
8. The kettle remains switched o until started
again using the power switch. The kettle
can be stored on the base when not in use.
NOTE:
• Do not overll - risk of splashing. Never
ll the kettle beyond the MAX mark.
Check that the lid is closed before
inserting the plug.
• Check that the power switch can move
freely and the lid can be closed correctly.
The kettle will not switch o if the power
switch is blocked or if the lid is open.
• Pull out the plug when the kettle is not in
use.
Boil-dry protection
The boil-dry protection prevents the kettle from
starting without water in the kettle. If the boil-
dry protection trips, allow the kettle to cool,
ll with water and start again.
MAINTENANCE
NOTE:
• Pull out the plug and allow the kettle to
cool before cleaning.
• Do not immerse the kettle, power cord,
plug or the base in water or any other
liquid.
• Wipe the base with a soft, damp cloth,
never use toxic or abrasive cleaning agents,
as these can damage the kettle.
• Clean the lter regularly. Loosen the lter
by pressing the lter catch on the kettle.
Replace the lter after cleaning.
• The power cord can be wound around the
lower part of the kettle.
