Safety
• The speaker should not be taken apart or modified. There are dangerous,
unprotected voltages in some components in thespeaker casing. Contact with
these can lead to fire or electric shock.
• Do not cover thespeaker. Adequate ventilation, with adistance of at least 5 cm
between ventilation ports and surrounding surfaces, is necessary to prevent
thespeaker from overheating.
• The speaker must only be connected to a100–240V, 50/60 Hz wall socket.
• Make sure that thewall socket to which themains lead is connected is easily
accessible since this is theonly way to completely disconnect it from themains supply.
• Place thespeaker on astable, flat surface.
• Do not place thespeaker where it could fall into water or other liquids. Do not
place any objects containing liquid on thespeaker, such as vases, drinks, etc.
• Do not place thespeaker near naked flames, such as wood stoves, lit candles, etc.
• Position thespeaker where there is no risk of people tripping over themains lead.
• The speaker is intended for indoor use only.
• Never subject thespeaker to high temperature, dust, heavy vibration, impacts,
damp or moisture.
• Always handle themains lead with care. Do not unplug theproduct by pulling on
themains lead; instead, grip theplug itself. Make sure that themains lead does
not come into contact with heat or sharp edges or become trapped.
• Unplug themains lead during thunderstorms or if thespeaker is not to be used for
along time.
• The speaker’s Standby switch does not completely disconnect thespeaker from
themains. To completely disconnect thespeaker from themains, themains lead
has to be removed from thewall socket.
• Protect your hearing. Listening on high volume for prolonged periods can lead to
permanent hearing loss.
• Do not use thespeaker if it or themains lead is damaged in any way.
• Never use accessories which are not recommended by themanufacturer or place
of purchase.
• The speaker should only be repaired by qualified service personnel.
